Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle| Super Saiyan 4s are coming

DBZ: Dokkan Battle is a freemium game available for IOS and Android devices, released in 2015. 

 

Gameplay

The gameplay has two parts: the map and the batle(s).

The map is the place where you will go to the battle, grab capsules, zeni, ki and tresaure. Be careful, there are targets in the map which will hurt you.

To go trough the map, you use 3 dices. You can choose the number of spaces you want to go.

 

The battles split you team of 7 characters into 3. While the first 2 units of each rotation will keep coming together every 2 turns, the 3rd one won't appear for 3 turns.

The characters need to grab Ki Orbs to increase their Ki. There are 6 types of Ki Orbs:

- AGL Orbs

- TEQ Orbs

- INT Orbs

- STR Orbs

- PHY Orbs

- Rainbow Orbs (connect orbs)

If a character matches the orb type, he will get double ki. (Example: AGL Goku grabs 3 INT Orbs. He gets 3 ki. INT Vegeta grabs 3 INT Orbs. He gets 6 ki.)

 

Characters

Characters are split into rarities. Right now, there are 7 rarities:

- Ns/Normals (Only in Friend Summons)

- Rs/Rares

-SRs/Super Rares

-SSRs/Secret Super Rares

-URs/Ultra Rares

-TURs/Transcended Ultra Rares

-LRs/ Legendary Rares

I'll talk about TURs and LRs later.

A character can awaken to move from it's current type to the next one once. (Ns can become Rs.) Awakened characters will have a star next to the rarity.

 

Characters can have one of 5 types:

- AGL

- TEQ

- INT

- STR

- PHY

Also, characters have a secondary type. Heroes are Super Types, Villians are Extreme Types.

A nice thing the game throws at you right at the start of the story (which is original to this game by the way; A time distortion created by Trunks' various travels through history created a world where things are happening out of order and in a very confusing matter like, for example, martial artists being killed by an unknown source while Mr. Satan is the world champion) is that you get a random character as a starter; I got Android 16, one of my favourite characters from the series.

It's freemium, but you can get far even without spending a single penny. All in good fun,  a decent time-waster.

New characters are introduced as time goes on; the last patch added characters from the first part of the series. For example, I got Young Bulma as a playable fighter.

Decided to give this a try and got Android 17. Apparently he's super rare, which is awesome, but I was hoping for Android 18, since she's one of my favourite DBZ characters.

Ummm, i would recommend you guys ( as i assume you use the global version (google play, app store), to use the jap one instead. Events come much later in the global one(2/3 months later) and the chance to get characters is bigge in the jap version. Actually, a question. What your team right now?

So, a few days ago, I did a summon, got all of the good signs (Rainbow letters, and Super Sayian Goku. Got an SSR Super Sayian Goku 2!

Caught a really lucky break! Got my Super Sayian 2 Goku up to max level, and I'm currently working on Z-Awakening him into a Ultra Rare SS 2 Goku. But I also got tickets for winning three tournaments, and despite Hercule flying in at first, I GOT THE SSR KID GOKU!

Naw, I'm playing the UK version.

By the way, if you've saved up Friend Summon points, I heavily suggest you use them now and binge a bunch of multi-summons. Dokkan Battle is doing a special event where Multi-Friend Summons can give you SR, and if you're extremely lucky, certain SSR characters. I managed to get a SR Dr. Gero, and a SR Raditz from it.

Kid Goku (SSR Lvl 72 STR, Cost: 16)

UR...isnt...the best type of card...its. LEGENDARY RARE(LR)!!!!!

These characters can be achieved by having the base character and the Awakening medals.

To get the medals you need to beat an LR event connected to the character.

Now these LR events are hard. But dont worry. Since the Jap version is ahead the global one by 6 months you have like 2-3months  to train.

If you have one of these characters prepare cuz they will be almost OP:
