So hey, with a new year starting up, I figured I'd take a shot at a fun thread I've thought of doing before, but never went through with. In this thread, we all draw Sonic characters...badly. Whether you're a professional artist relaxing with some low-effort doodles or someone who can barely find the sharp end of the pencil, everyone is welcome. Just chill out and have fun with it. Current themes will be ^^^up there at the top of the post.

1. Draw.

Q&A:
-So how's this gonna work, exactly?
Simple enough. Every three days I'll post a character, and you draw that character, as many times as you want, in whatever situations or styles you want. There will also be a weekly theme (starting on Monday) running in parallel, something that's a little more complex than just drawing one character. Current themes are at the top of this post, upcoming and previous themes can be found at the bottom of this post. The length of each theme is open to change depending on how the thread goes. If this is still going when we run out of themes, we'll cycle back through.

-Can I draw characters outside of the current theme?
Sure, why not. I would prefer if you did try to keep to the theme, though, so we can see a bunch of different takes on the same theme together, and so people will try drawing things they wouldn't think to otherwise. But if you missed your chance to draw your favorite character, or want to draw one that hasn't come up yet, or whatever, then it's fine, go for it!

-Can I suggest future characters/themes?
Sure! I've got a pretty decent backlog though (see bottom of post), and unless you point out a glaring character omission or your suggestion makes me laugh it'll go on the end of the list, so it might be a while before it comes up. Also I retain the right to reject any suggestion if I think it's too obscure or boring. Remember that you can still draw it on your own, though.

-But I can't draw...
Sure you can! You can draw...badly! That's the whole point, no matter what your skill level, no matter what your medium, just doodle some goofy looking Sonics and post them. This isn't a thread for criticism and dead-serious art, it's for goofing off and having fun, and maybe getting a little bit of practice in.

Well, if you want it, you can ask for criticism. But this probably isn't the best thread to look for it. I'm pretty sure there's an Artist Association thread buried somewhere in the Showcase, you can dig that up and talk serious about art in there if you want.

-Can I Draw Sonics Goodly instead?
Yeah, sure! I mean, that's not really the point of this, but if you get into a good groove and end up with something you're proud of, it's fine to post it here.

-What do I get for participating?
Fuck all! It's just for fun. Chill out, draw something goofy, laugh along with us.
