Nintendo to publish apps featuing their characters

How does a Newspaper give out so many details? I got to read them more often.

Anyways, current president of Nintendo has published some of Nintendo's plan for 2016, among them is that mobile apps featuring their characters will start releasing this year.

Currently, nothing is know about any of the apps, so it's still a mystery.

Oh boy, I can't wait for the "Nintendo is doomed because mobile games" arguments.  I can just feel the headache now.

So anyway, these apps should come as a surprise to no one; with the announcement of Pokémon Go and all, Nintendo already previously announced plans to take on the mobile market.  It's a smart business move, so I don't blame them.  I just hope that they're not just Nintendo-based clones of preexisting apps.

I wonder if Nintendo will take advantage of some smartphone's NFC capabilities to utilize amiibo.

That would entice even more people to buy those things.

While we don't know exactly what they are, we now know two franchises are coming to mobile, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem.

Animal Crossing is cool, but Fire Emblem is quite a surprise, wonder how they'll get that to work.
