I worked hard on this one trying to get the details down on Mami and Monster Ray's dress up so feedback is highly appreciated!

Sonic is basically asking Yaya how they managed to get Monster Ray dressed up and her answer was making him watch DDR Let's Plays. (I have a head canon that Ray is a beast at DDR. That's the only video game he's remotely good at.)

These guys were meant to be cannon fodder right from the word go as they were simply corrupted with despair seeds. The 'real' monsters however are like Monster Ray... though unlike Ray where he had a lot of help those ones didn't get any and when the skylanders find them... well they sure as hell ain't going to be pushing them over let's just say that. 

Saffron Bee's monster form. The goopy monster. Slow, cumbersome, and oh so sticky.

Onyx van Trollenberg's (From the 2005 TV show Trollz. (The show is mediocre, I must have been really bored to sit through episodes of it when I was young.)) monster form Rushing Scorpion. Likes to try and crush you with those big pincers.

Khadija's monster form Fairy Long Legs. (Khadija is a minor character from the TV show Winx Club.) Enjoys scaling walls for a sneak attack.

Princess Za's monster form Neptune's Tank. (Princess Za is from the video game Bonk's Adventure. I used her old design for this monster.) Another slow, cumbersome monster that can fire off huge amounts of pressurised water from their mouth like a cannon and use their slippery tentacles to whip their enemies.

Xako's monster form the Glacier Monster. (Xako is the only male of this batch of monsters. He's from the video game Psybadek.) This dude doesn't really know what he's doing and seems more upset by his appearance. He can be clingy however and spray scalding hot water from his mouth.

Shademon's profile image. Their official image is tiny as flea so I decided to take a bit of artistic license with them and draw my own picture of them.

Ray and Monster Ray's profile. Ray's monster form has a hidden sweet tooth. Don't eat cheesecake or pancakes in front of the beast unless you want to be playing a game of hide and seek.

Mia's profile image. Mia's problem wasn't that her official artwork was too small, it was that she didn't have any of her own. She only had the box art for her game and that was shared with Xako. So I drew her a profile picture.

And last but not least is Mog's profile image. Mog had it bad. She only really had her sprites for official images so she really needed a drawn profile image stat.

To answer your question @E-122-Psi the wand is actually a staff of the 'Comfort Reapers' kind of like the Grim Reapers but kinder. They tend to stay with you if you're dying alone and keep you company.

The staff is actually based on the medical staff you see in a lot of medical shows. Instead the snake is going downwards, the heart in the middle is cracked in two which means loss or rejection and on top is a butterfly. Some palliative care places around the world have a butterfly for a logo to represent the fragile nature of life. Fitting since butterflies for the most part don't live for very long.

I wish I could draw Sakura but I just don't think I could do the kid justice.

So do you remember in S2 of SSMB Heroes in Ray's story that the heroes confronted a monster Ray? Specially this guy?

 

Well I decided to give him a refined coloured image.

Say hi to Monster Ray V2. At the moment he's just an abstract concept in Ray's head but if enough people like the guy he just might pop up in season 4 of SSMB Heroes. He operates very differently to the current Monster Ray running around. That's all I'm saying about the guy for the moment. Enjoy!

A long, long while ago, probably late last year I asked SSMB who or what Ray should dress up as? Three very nice folks placed their suggestions and so here they are!

@Failinhearts wanted to see Ray dress up as Sayaka Miki. (Say have these two interacted at all in the RP? I really can't remember.)

@Celestia wanted to see Ray honour the great Dr Eggman

And @Kiah wanted Ray to give out some laughs by dressing up as a clown.

Since the Music Spectacular has come and gone I thought I might as well post the art I did.

This was a pain to ink in due to how blurry the line art was, thanks to the photo I was given. I had to get it printed out at an office store since I was petsitting at the time for my aunt and uncle, and the printer they owned was not wanting to place nice.

The hard part was trying to make sure Failin's vision was intact while at the same time trying to fix any 'errors' in the work.

Colouring for the most part was a fair bit easier.

And here is the Sentinal himself, Sentinal Sonic. He was fun to draw, hard to ink and fun to colour. The hard part was trying to keep his round body round while inking so he didn't look jagged. I dun goofed on a couple of drawings with Kirby, he'd end up with an odd pointy spot on an other wise round body.

Meep meep! Time for some SSMB Heroes drawings!

They're all based on the current Kingdom Hearts story that going on. Best thing this time is that I didn't bum rush these!

So here is Ray, Flame and Mia in their KH attire. But what's that I hear you ask, shouldn't Ray and Flame be wearing more? And to that I say, no, cause I don't like the over designing that Nomura does with his outfits. Less is more folks.

So here's Ray with his keyblade the Fragile Healer. His blade is pretty weak but is very strong in the magic healing department. Fully replenish your MP and drive after you used a full heal on yourself when in critical range? Sounds good. Sadly that's the only thing it's really good at as all it's other stats are naff. Ray is in his 'wisdom form' I.E. gets a nice hat and does... magical stuff, poor doofus doesn't know what he's doing.

Here's Flame the dragon in his 'Valor' form. His Keyblade is called Eternal Fire and if your a sucker for fire magic, you'll want this one since it pretty much boosts all fire spells and gives you immunity to enemy fire attacks. The goggles are there just to keep Flame's eyes safe from all the fancy pyrotechnics he'll pull off. Yes, that pose is very similar to an official Classic Spyro artwork, I used it as a reference for this one and also as practice.

So here is Mia in her Master Form wielding her keyblade called Decked out. Basically her keyblade allows her to move swiftly, attack better and keep momentum going while gliding or juggling combos. Not amazing but a good range keyblade for attackers. I really like the colours on her outfit.

And last not least here are the forms the characters took when they went to the Timeless River and Flame and Ray's disguises for Hawaii. Enjoy! And feel free to leave feedback!

Hello again! Welp, the first anniversary of SSMB Heroes is here and sadly I have nothing really to show for it... summer weather kicking my ass in spring and anxiety being anxiety meant I didn't do much until yesterday. 

However! To make up for it I'll be fleshing out my guest characters that have popped up in the RP here and there cause who knows if I'll ever get around to doing it in the RP.

Today's first three characters are the comfort reapers Bubblegum Rosy, Bob the squirrel and Jiffy the hedgehog. WARNING! I've put their info in spoilers since some of it gets pretty dark and may upset some readers. Viewer discretion is advised!

Name: Bubblegum Rosy

Elements: Undead, Life

Battle class: Brawler

Special ability: Shooting bubblegum bubbles at her foes.

Hardest comfort case: Comforting a mother who unsuccessfully tried to OD herself on painkillers.

Bio: Rosy wasn't really cut out for much in life, being made as a part of a cheap cash grab at the expense of a small team of overworked people probably didn't help. For years Rosy wandered the mulitverse in search for something, anything to give her a sense of purpose. She finally did once she entered the swirling black portal winding up in Mercy, Rosy was to become a comfort reaper! Something that was very new to the underworld and in a lot of ways still is! Overtime she became one of Mercy's most reliable reapers and now specialises in making bubble traps to keep wily ghouls, wisps and other assorted creepy crawlies out of Mercy. Rosy, however, doesn't like comforting young women, they remind her too much of herself when she was in despair, preferring to take on cases involving older people or children. Rosy loves anything in hot pink and is never seen with out some form of bubblegum, which she'll happily offer some to anybody.

Name: Bob the squirrel

Elements: Undead, water

Battle class: Brawler

Special ability: Spike ball: Bob is able to summon a huge spiky ball of ice via his staff before letting in crash down on his foes like a chandelier, anyone unfortunate enough to stand in it's path will be crushed and impaled.

Hardest comfort case: Comforting a man stranded in the desert dying of dehydration. Bob now can not stand the heat and will only accept missions involving the desert or fires if no one else can.

Bio: Born from a cheap mobile cash in isn't something creatures of fiction prefer especially not a cheap rip off cash in, but those were the hands of fate that Bob was given. Bob used to believe he was a hedgehog but then had his mind changed when so many folks said he was a squirrel. The orange guy loves the snow and happily takes on cases involving the cold. The heat on the other hand drives Bob mad and usually makes him feel sick afterwards so he will do everything in his power to avoid hot places like deserts and fire pits. The squirrel is pretty experienced with his staff and can use it to create things out of ice. Mercy doesn't snow so when Bob misses the snow he'll use his staff to make some.

Name: Jiffy the hedgehog

Elements: Undead, life

Battle class: Brawler

Special ability: Town greeter, in Jiffy's mind making people feel welcome is the best thing to have.

Hardest comfort case: Anything that involves babies or toddlers tends to make Jiffy cry. Especially more so if they were abused.

Bio: Jiffy like Bob was born from a cheap rip off mobile game. It did nothing for the hedgehog's self worth being ruthlessly mocked on the internet for his presentation and strange running pattern. Cringe channels would chase Jiffy and harass the goof to the point he almost contemplated suicide. Luckily for this recoloured hedgehog, the hands of fate gave Jiffy a way out with out needlessly ending his own life. He arrived in Mercy and became a comfort reaper. Quickly gaining experience Jiffy today is now one of the strongest around but you'll rarely if ever see the hedgehog use his full power. He's just rather make his guests and fellow new comers feel welcome and at ease. The hedgehog tends to take of some of the tougher cases, ones that other reapers tend to shy away from.

Yep! It's that time again for more SSMB Heroes stuff! One drawing for good old @Failinhearts and one for a former RP'er @Cheawn.

First off is Failin's favourite magical girl Sayaka holding a not very well Ray.

I did the sketch ages ago and coloured it in in colour pencils around two months ago. The sketch I did when I was feeling low and the colouring I did when I was well. I had to sit on this one for while cause my moods were very wonky when September came around and I didn't want this piece to be make folks go 'uh oh Mighty isn't doing great, might wanna talk to her and see if she's with it' thing. it's just a sad drawing. Though with the way my third story is shaping up it could be prophetic... Sayaka will get a happy drawing Failin don't worry!

And now for another draw I've been sitting on for yonkers only this time I've just now finished it! This one is for @Cheawn. I had to guess the colours for his support character Weip, the little robot talking with Ray and Flame. He's based on Failinhearts Metal Sentinal Sonic's designs. The two boys made the awful mistake of watching Madoka: Rebellion and now Weip has to clean up the emotional mess...

 

Sadly Cheawn hasn't been heard from in months and I do miss him. He did a good job as Kirby and I'm just hoping life had him swamped and he's too busy to visit SSMB. Where ever you are Chewan I hope you're O.K. and you're enjoying life.

Ten facts about skylander Saffron Bee! (these are made up for the record...)

1. Her favorite match was between Slim Duddy vs Homcide Jack for the cruserweight championship of the world. Saffron marked so hard for both men that she couldn't speak for a few days.

2. Aside from pink Saffron loves the colours brown and green.

3. She once smashed an egg pawn's head clean off its body.

4. Saffron loves marshmallows and pineapple

5. Saffron hates cowardice (hence why she gets upset when Ray gets nervous.).

6. Her favourite video games are Pixie Princess Dandelion of the Death Knell, My First Pony Friend and Hardcore Wrestling Xtreme edition.

7. Saffron doesn't tend to get on well with people who boss her around. She'll only listen to people who are strong, caring or both. If she thinks you're neither she'll ignore you.

8. Saffron's favorite Skylander is Ella. Because she loves wrestling. And so does Saffron.

9. Saffron hates the smell of blue cheese

10. Saffron always has a box of bandaids on hand.

Name: Sanrin San Chan A.K.A. Spatter

Element: Non Elemantal

Battle Class: Supercharger

Bio: Small, cute and a devour of cake Sanrin isn't much of a misfit at first glance. But to be training under Sig the Peace Keeper you gotta have some kind of decent ability and Sanrin's is speed. Her little tricycle moves like lightning and runs and mows pretty much anyone down... hence her dark nickname. She loves cake, especially Strawberry Shortcake and gets very gluttonous when she gets her hands on a box. It doesn't matter to her if gets sick from eating too much, she'll do it anyway. She also loves flowers and rumor has it she joined the misfits to find a pretty girl in white so she can give her a bouquet of flowers as a thank you gift. Quite a few LOSE minons bare the scars of Sanrin's wrath and with another rumor flying around about her getting a new tricycle with a rift engine attached... well, you better move out of the way if that's the case, cause this girl burns rubber for kicks.

And @A Zombie KING heavy engine asked for Jimmy from Ed, Edd and Eddy. Never thought I'd ever do a piece of fan art for that show.

Welp, it's the end of the week and guess what? I've got something to show! Here is @Failinhearts request, the best thing from Danganronpa V3, Kaede! I decided to add Ray since I did say a while back that I wanted to draw the two hugging but it looks like Ray's the one getting the hug not Kaede. I had to go digital to make sure I kept all the details.
