Part of really does wonder if Sonic 4 Episode 3 could be released as a sort of tie in to whatever Sonic anniversary title is launching this fall with Sonic 4 being retroactively shoehorned in to bridge the gap between S4 and the new game the same way CD was retroactively made to bridge the gap between S3&K and S4.

I know you're joking, but it would be really stupid if SEGA decided to use that Sonic 4 title after 4's reception, especially since it's been, like, four years since the last one. Wait, four years? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

That said, I would not really mind an actual "Sonic 4 (As You Truly Imagined IT)" done right, but on Wii U? NOOOOO. I need a Sonic game on my PS4, dangit.
