Since then I have played more games and got introduced to comics and tv-series. My favourite game in the series is Sonic adventure. I personally think that it got the multiple characters format right and after it there has been problems with it.

Sorry, but I had to. My beautiful and long introduction post IS GONE. Oh well, okay, my introduction will be shorter this time, but still a bit developped because I'm pretty sure nobody remembers me here.

So, greetings again to everyone, my name's Sunnymoon (and my real name's Sam), and I'm a Twilight fanboy that came from the future to DESTOW U ALL

Just kidding, I'm a not-so-longtime Sonic fan that hasn't found his place in the universe yet. I knew the series since I was young (6 I guess...), but I didn't adventured outside the games before I was 12. At this age, I discovered forums, websites, and most notably, Newgrounds and Sonic Shorts. I was immediatly fascinated by it, and so I took even deeper interest in what the fanbase created, not even knowing that they were capable to create their own Sonic game. After 3 years (during which I also matured a little bit), I had learned a lot about the series in itself (I even became a fan of Archie Comics, both for Sonic and Megaman), and its good and bad sides, but I wasn't ready to join the fanbase yet so that I could share my vision of it. Now that this anime-esque shyness is gone, I finally decided to join the forums of one of my favorite Sonic website, so here I am!

As for my interests, I like: video games (YO DUDE SO UNCLEAR), most of them being Nintendo games (especially Mother/Earthbound, of which I'm a hardcore fan), Cave Story (one of my favorite of all time), Touhou, Megaman, and of course Sonic. My favorite games still stay the classic series, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Unleashed ; drawing and art, as I like all forms of it. It was for the most part Deviantart which made me discover how vast the world of art could be, again beginning with Sonic fanartists. I have some basic concepts, like proportions and perspective, but I don't get to practice a lot because school, so I'm more of an art lover than an art maker. Oh, and my favorite thing is animation, with my favorite studios being Disney, BlueSky, Ghibli and the OLD Warner Bros cartoons ; science, in all its forms too. From biology to physics, passing by engineering and informatics, science is what I wanna do in mah life, and everything that's related to it interests me. Of course, since I'm a student I'm still a beginner, but if I had to quote the domains that interests me the most, I would say physics, biology and informatics. That fits pretty well to me seeing how much of a nerd I can be.

 

So I think that's it, pretty much what had to be recovered from my first post. I hope that I'll be able to share things with you guys this time, and that the whole forum is going to recover from the nasty hit it took! See ya on the topics.

I played sonic 3d blast on my pc when i was six and instantly loved it even though its pretty bad. I got a plug and play genesis with sonic 1 and thought it was ok. My parents got me a 360 and sonic 06 and i couldn't even get past the first level in tails' section. THEN I PLAYED UNLEASHED. HOLY. CRAP. Instantly hooked and got into the community via youtube comments. (pitiful, huh?) But when i bought generations, i knew i had to come here. Since i'm new, I've been looking for a beginner's section (if there is one). Is there? Please send me there if you can.

I am striving to draw sonic's universe just as good as yardley. (so give me some ideas as to what sonic character to draw doing what and i'll send you the result, i need ideas!) I hope i can be accepted into this community.

 

Oh, and i enjoy shadow's game as a guilty pleasure. such a missed opportunity, i would like shadow 2 no matter how controversial that might be.

Well, since my original account was wiped out, I might as well reintroduce myself to the community. Hi, I'm Megabeatman. Long times Sonic fan and a fan of other heroes wearing the color blue. I've been trying to become involved in the general Sonic community, but I usually don't have time due to various reviewing projects. So I might as well make the time to hang out here.

I've always been under the impression that making an assumption doesn't lead to good things, but thankfully I won't have to assume that this is the introduction thread because it says it right there in the title 

 

Anyway, I'm Lisbon. Pleasure to meet ya!

 

For some reason I picked to go by the name of the capital of Portugal when registering for an account. I don't know why, but in hindsight it sounds oddly effeminate, especially when combined with my avatar xP Anyway, basic info about me is that I'm an 18 year old dude from this little town just south of the Oklahoma-Texas border that's so tiny, McDonald's won't even move in due to a perceived lack of business. There's a solid 40 or 50 people graduating high school alongside me this June and we have 2 whole gas stations to serve our needs as a community 

 

My favorite Sonic character is Rouge the Bat, even if she sounds like a smoked out 60 year old at the Casino whenever she speaks. She's awesome regardless, at least in my eyes.

 

I have a plethora of other interests as well, ranging from music to baseball to vidyagaemz to whatever strikes my fancy, really. I won't delve into that right now, though, because I've talked about myself enough already I'd say

I know this is a little late and my second post. Its been a long week between work and a new surprise puppy.

I found out about Sonic in the early 1990s when the neighbors invited the older of my two brothers play the very first game. We did get a Sega for Christmas in either 1992 or 1993. (Youngest brother either 7 months or 19 months opened the other game - Castle of Illusion- before opening the system.)

When the local ABC station previewed its Saturday morning line-up on it's TGIF blocked, I was hooked to Sat Am.

I'm mainly a lurker. I started visiting in late June - early July in between breaks on working on various crafting projects.

Before any one asks, I don't have Ann in my actual name. It comes from the older of the two dogs. Her name is Roxanne, or Roxie. My brothers would chase her around doing the WALL E voice, Roxie mutated into Rowdy. Yes, she is pretty rowdy at times.

I've been a fan of Sonic since I was 4 years old, that's when I got my Genesis and it came with Sonic 2, in my opinion the best Genesis game ever.

 

But I'm also a fan of Rock 'n Roll (especially metal), horror movies and video games in general.

 

My favorite game series are (aside from Sonic): Clock Tower, Silent Hill, Ace Attorney, Castlevania and Metroid.

 

I'm the current moderator of the Sonic Network Forum in Brazil.

After the site reset thingy, my account here was lost including all my posts, so I thought I'd give it another go!

I'm Laffe and I'm a bit of a Sonic fanboy, and so I've been since I first started playing the games back in the day. Some of my most treasured memories is growing up playing video games with my brother, and we played a lot of them! - Mostly Nintendo, but there was always room for Sonic. To this date, Sonic 2 is still one of my absolute favorite games. I also remember watching the Sonic SatAM series on TV, which I've also enjoyed revisiting many years later. Same goes for Sonic X, despite the quality of that show being far worse in my opinion, but still... Good times. <3

Sonic, as well as many other video games, I guess also layed the foundation for what would become one of my main hobbies these days, which is making music! - Bitpop, to be specific, which I guess you can say is a combination of 8-bit/chiptune and some more modern sounds. I always thought the Sonic games had some of the best soundtracks, and even with some of the newer Sonic games, I really like the music. I've even made a couple of Sonic remixes dating a while back now, and if you're familiar with the Sonic Show on YouTube you might have already heard one of my tunes on there sometime. In fact, the reason why I first decided to join this forum was to maybe participate in the SotSS album projects, as I've found the previous album projects of this site to be an utter joy. This time around it was my understanding it would only be an EP, but I intend to submit a couple of tracks. I'd almost forgotten how much fun it was to remix Sonic music!

Other than that, I spend a lot of my time skateboarding, which I've been doing since I was 12, so about 10 years now. Not skating as hard as I used to, but it still is one of the best feelings in the world to me. Come to think of it, that is also one of my hobbies that was originally inspired by video games, namely the Tony Hawk games, haha. Those had some great music as well, as I really love punk.

Speaking of hobbies inspired by video games I might as well also include my most obvious one, which would be collecting pretty much about anything Nintendo related, but of course also Sonic stuff. I always thought Sonic felt part of the Nintendo family anyway.

Anyway, I'm happy to be here! - Again, and I hope you can stand having me as well.

I have other screen names that are better and you might even know me by them on another website, but I had some security concerns when joining this forum and while I don't have those anymore I've grown to like this name in the hour that's passed since I made this account. So, I guess this is my local name for now. I'm a girl, so please refer to me as such.

 

I tend to come off as disturbingly blunt and formal with what I say, but I'm always like that when I first join a forum because I'm less likely to get negative reactions before I know the community well enough. Not that great for first impressions, but whatever.

 

What brought me here? Curiosity, mostly. A big Sonic-related website with unfortunate redirect ads? I tend to avoid larger communities, but that still somehow grabbed my attention so here I am.

 

My hobbies include playing bad Sonic games for fun, drawing, writing scripts for comics that I never finish, designing characters and levels, 3D modeling, 3D animating, and making entire video games from scratch for no apparent reason. Haven't done that last thing in a while, but that's mostly because I don't have the resources to make things like that massive roleplay-driven mobian MMO I've been planning for like 3 years now. Maybe there are folks here who can help me with that.

 

I've been a Sonic fan since 2007 when I got Sonic and the Secret Rings. I make a habit of picking up any Sonic game I can find that a lot of people hate for one reason or another. The only thing keeping me from getting the worst of the worst, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric? I can't afford a Wii U. I can play pretty much any other Sonic game that isn't on that console though. I prefer to play on my PC so if a Sonic game's available on it then assume I've got it.

 

I have the tendency to unexpectedly talk about Sonic for unnecessarily long periods of time. I guess I'll feel right at home here.
