Regardless, all of the meta posting like these needs to stop too. This topic's a f00kin' mess. Let's keep all posts roughly in line with Forces, what little we know about it, and what you hope to see from it provided what you hope to see isn't a backhanded statement against other games and fans which have little to nothing to do with Forces. If that's limiting, that's fine. Again, y'all don't have to post if there's nothing to say.

Well, about the game music, I don't know if this info still value, but is the most concrete info that I think we have about the soundtrack:

Yeah, It's almost 1 year ago, but look the SEGA, crush40 and Sonic_hedgehog citations. Sonic Forces wasn't revealed (And Project Sonic 2017 announced), but it seems to be very veridic. What you think about this? For me, it's look like that the game will have a very diversificated soundtrack with many artists.

The show's not completely terrible, but it is pretty much just cheap jokes for kids and the rare nod to older fans. Lost World has more depth than that, whether people acknowledge it or not.

agreed. the tv show is more for kids but the game as deph that we all can connect to

Eh, I give the show more credit than that, especially in its later season. It's actually gotten pretty nifty, and with two-parters no less.

The humor is well varied and doesn't stoop to mean-spirited gags like the cry-for-help ratings trap that CN spams across the network times, Teen Titans Go.

It's also a good showing of how they can actually keep a Sonic world and lore consistent. It certainly did earn its award. Though I must ask, why are we bringing the show up in this thread?

I would never associate Lost World with the word depth, but that's just me. The show has made some adult jokes from time to time and some meta jokes too, it's something that people of all ages can enjoy, but of course, humor is in itself subjective and as such, the show's humor might not appeal to everyone, but it certainly appeals to me at least.

Cuz we know almost nothing about the game and it's most likely gonna remain that way till E3. Also, the show is actually getting a 4-parter and that's pretty hype.

Funny you mention that, isn't one of the showrunners of Sonic Boom Bill Freiberger? That guy worked on lots of raunchy adult stuff, directed a playboy softcore porno, and was a core member of Drawn Together. There's bound to be some subtle adult jokes from time to time lol

Well if we're talking about how to do an enjoyable lighthearted with little to no tension and plenty of silly stuff Sonic story then the Boom show is a good example.

Storywise, I don't know. I just hope it has that urgency and tension the Adventure titles had in its story while keeping it cool and silly when need be like in Unleashed. But I honestly have no idea on what to interpret Forces' story based on its premise. Not enough details.

Something that doesn't suck, primarily. But seriously, I'd like a feel of an adventure. The last game that really felt like that was Unleashed really. Colors was all in the same location and while the scenery did change, it was nothing that was too notable. Generations was just set pieces for other games so I don't count that one. And Lost World was by the book, worlds structured in the same way 2D Mario games were. So it was uninteresting. I want the characters to actually do something for once and not let Sonic do all the freaking work. And,most importantly, have the story to be good.

What I hope? Sonic and friends team up to face their greatest threat yet, an Eggman that managed to conquer the world. Sonic and friends make their way through Eggman's bases and maybe even end up traveling through time or dimensions (explaining what's Classic doing here, and opening the door for Silver and Blaze to show) and fix whatever Eggman did to reality to end up like that. We get some nice interactions between characters, some cool cutscenes. You know, just something cool and long enough to make the four year long wait worth it.

I really don't know. I mean, we know so little at the moment, and is kind of hard to "hope" that any specific thing will happen in the story.

Pretty sure Sonic is gonna be pretty dominant in his own game, lol. But yeah, whatever happened to the real super power of teamwork? Now it's just, the real super power of me, myself, and I.

I hope the theme "I AM THE EGGMAN" plays full volume inside Eggman's bases.

 

IMO, this theme should comeback, it's far better than the generic one from 06. It fits Eggman's megalomaniac and eccentric personality. It's the sound I can hear playing when I picture "Eggman has won" [emoji14]

I fully agree with this actually. His '06 theme is boring, and so bland for a character as bodacious as Eggman. Unfortunately, I don't think it will. Ohtani created his '06 theme, and has been using it ever since. IATE only made a return on the White World outside the Egg Dragoon gate, and that's when Senoue was in charge of sound.
