Sonic Adventure Revolution

This game here has a special place in my heart. It is a beat-em up much in the vein of The Simpsons and many other titles. Effectively, the game plays like Skylanders if it were from a 2D belt-scrolling perspective. Notably, this is one of the few games to include content from other continuities, with 5 characters from other canons, three from the Archie Comics/SATAM and two from Underground. In total, there are  seventeen available Sonic characters. Emphasis on the Sonic part as the game also throws in nine guests. Remember how a lot of smaller Sonic fan games throw in Mario as he was a piece of Sonic's inspiration? The other four heroes who inspired Sonic have been finally given the Sonic fan-game treatment! In addition, five more characters inspired by those four and were popular during Sonic's early years are also present.

 

The game has a map system allowing players to freely pick stages to tackle a variety of environments, with music both Sonic and otherwise, including tracks from Marvel Super Heroes, Neo Contra, and more. Each character has spectacular special moves.
