A bit of a cinema history lesson the younger generations since i'm not sure how much of the world knows the two legends of the beat 'em up movies of the '70s and '80s. Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (codenames for two italian actors, Carlo Pedersoli and Mario Girotti) made a lot of movies in the course of two decades (ranging from contemporary suburban life to western to life in the south american jungle, but all with a comical theme) with relatively simple plots. There were bad guys, there were usually children of poor families to save, there was a lot of stuff to eat and drink, but best of all, there were a lot of goons working for the bad guys that were just waiting to be beated in the most comical and awesome fashion (for the time, at least). Not masterpieces at all, but they were still solid and fun movies to watch with the whole family once in a while to have a good laugh.

Recently though, Bud Spencer passed away (Terence Hill in the meantime dragged himself in the hell known as italian tv fiction, as me and Nald sadly know), so a local gaming team decided to assemble an ambitious project, something that many fans of the duo kinda wished for ever since videogames were made: a full-blown beat 'em up in the same style of Streets of Rage and Final Fight replicating scenes from the movies while having an original plot of its own.

At the time of the start of this thread the project is doing great with already 1/6 of its initial goal reached; it's aiming for now for a release on PC, Mac and Linux, considering console releases for a stretch goal (so far the only one is about 3 extra levels). As a huge personal fan of the duo, i'll back this up and ask you to give it a chance as well. It will not only bring justice to this fun times passed watching those movies, but will also help reinvigorating the italian game industry segment, wich started finally poking out of the shadows a couple of years ago.

Here's a tracker to let you know how it's going.
