Extremist on: Healthcare, taxes

If Obama is an extremist on healthcare, then what is this?

If Obama is an extremist on taxes, what is Norway?

With all due respect, I believe you need to take a peek outside of the US and see the world doesn't swing from Smith to Keynes.

You're right, Spikysprinter. We'd better make sure there isn't another republican president next term or there'll be an even bigger mess for the new democratic president after that to clean up.

Remember Clinton? Economy did pretty great with him in charge, didn't it? Oh, but he's a secret rapist killer to you. I forgot.

Clinton's big failure was repealing Glass-Steagall. Let us not forget that that was a key reason behind the '08 banking collapse.

I am so glad that those horrible jobs bills got blocked. Congress is the only thing preventing Obama from destroying the country.

The Republicans proposed a bill to help veterans get jobs.

Those same Reps blocked it.

What is that, if not massively assholey?

Extremist on: Healthcare, taxes, bailouts, putting our soldiers on trial for doing their jobs, and so much more

Why don't you stop refuting me and answer the question. WHAT DO YOU SEE IN OBAMA??

I don't. There are other people who frequent this thread who also don't. That's the fundamental thing you don't understand every time you come in this thread.

But how is Obama an extremist on those things? Healthcare? Obamacare is largely corporatist; far more than it is "socialist" in any case. Taxes? He hasn't done anything on them. Bailouts? Bush did an awful lot of those things. Soldier accountability? How is that a bad thing?

I believe the Republicans blocked a lot of good proposals to ruin Obama's chances; but now, there's nothing that can stop him from re-election, so they will cooperate this time, since next election will be a clean slate.

No they won't. They've lost Senate seats, they've won House seats, and Romney may very win the popular vote (wouldn't that be funny). Obama will be fought at every single turn over every single thing; and if Romney does indeed win the popular vote the Democrats will shrink away from so many things you will swear they are the Wicked Witch of the West. Nearly two years of effort and hundreds of millions of dollars to keep things the same way as they were in 2010.

Hillary for 2016? I can see her being nominated.

No.

Haha you know you're just talking out of your ass if you think Obama is by any definition of the world fanatical. If you actually look beyond political hyperbole, Obama is pretty moderate by US standards and that's saying nothing considering how far to the right America is compared to a lot of the developed world.

Deluding yourself because of your beliefs is all well and find but don't think that you're fooling anyone.

Why do you think raising the tax rate on people who are not paying the actual stated tax rate is extreme? Why do you think closing tax loopholes is extreme?

*cough cough* Obama isn't going to do this anyway because it isn't this cut and dried but I suppose I'm missing the point of your rebuttal so I'll shut up now *cough cough*

When I see you guys saying Obamacare is extremist, I can't help but laugh seeing my country has publicly funded surgeries of absolutely all kinds, including sex change. The conditions are poor, yes, but if we are comparing only the extremism of the idea...

They're interviewing a woman on the BBC.

>She says that the US is a communist country now.

Oh man... that is beyond wrong.

Already?! Shit. I thought I had at least until the morning before Red Dawn happened.

EVERYONE HIDE!

I'm just trying to find out how and why everyone besides me is so vehemently anti-Romney, and I still haven't found the answer. I'm getting persecuted for speaking my mind, and it's infuriating. People here take what I say so personally, but it's just politics. I love all of you guys; that's the main reason I visit this site every day. I came to speak my mind and nothing less. I think there's something admirable about that kind of honesty.

If your mind works this obnoxiously, misogynistically, fallaciously and fiercely all the time, be admirable as much as you want. No one will hear you.

To say everyone who likes Romney is stupid would be pretty much doing what Romney did himself with that infamous 47% remark. It's not the probably. Being against Romney is a matter of course. Not liking his attitude, his tendency to change his opinions on crucial matters every now and again just to catch some breath et cetera are a matter of judgement.

Offensive statements such as yours have nothing to do with your political view.

'm hearing that there are roughly 100,000 ballots in the urban and Democratic-leaning Fairfax County of Virginia which have yet to be counted. NBC may call the state for Obama tonight, but isn't yet prepared to do so.

In Florida, Miami-Dade's vote counters have gone home for the night. Obama has a 50,000 vote lead in that state, breaching the 4 million mark, and it's hard to see how Romney can win now seeing as the only places left with votes to count are traditionally blue-leaning.

I'm just going to go ahead and say Nevada, Virginia and Florida are all Obama locks now.

I didn't deride any gender. If I said a man was thinking with his dick, how would that be sexist?

To completely negate the thinking ability of all women and by stating they voting 'with their vaginas' whilst also trivializing the very important issues that affect women......

Ya I'd say that's pretty misogynistic
