[ARTWORK] SMILE Inc. or Dan's Art

SMILE is the new name for my artwork. It's just something fun I like to add to things and it's only real purpose is an excuse to play with the English language, which I kinda enjoy. It stands for Simple Manga Inspired Laughter Excuse. If you've been keeping track of my previous status updates, you would've already seen them.

I intend to try two or three more pictures to further learn ins and outs of the new software and equipment I now have access to. OpenCanvas 6 is the drawing software I am using and is seems to automatically record what I'm doing and is able to convert that into an animated GIF. So I attempted to do that with the Kirby picture. If it works correctly, you'll notice that it took several attempts to get his body the way I wanted it. When he disappears with the background up, keep a close eye on the grass.

Now that I'm using a tablet, I'm not forgetting to write my name on my work. I used to do that a lot. lol

So on Thursday, I got this idea for a seasonal gift art. I was up until 4:00 last night finishing it. But this is no ordinary gift art. I sent versions of it to people I know around here and Facebook, who might need a little extra cheer or inspire me. I would've loved to give a personal message to all the friends I've made over my time on the internet, but that would be an insane task, even for me.

All the characters featured are from various materials and some were added for a specific person, the guy at the bottom middle is new, the only way you would've seen him before is if you saw the last post I made in the picture thread.

I know what your thinking and yes, Sonic should've been here too, but with time restrictions and him being featured in the next drawing I'm working on, he didn't make the cut. Despite a space being available that he could've fitted in. Anyway...lol
