Excuse the very basic op but on mobile.

 

Sega Europe was indeed entertaining the idea of a football (the one with the round ball) and a fighter game at one point.

Design website has uploaded a ton of artwork on all the all Stars games including concepts of these two titles.

Can someone mirror and post the images before they get pulled?

Also all are dated so we can work out when said projects where pitched and if any were during a games said development.

I get that Soccer has a much bigger pull on the global stage, but for once I would have loved to see one of these mascot sims tackle the American Football variant.

Particularly since the NFL license is under ownership by EA, that just makes more of a demand/niche for an unlicensed football game, like an All-Stars entry. No need to re-tread ground that has been covered by other series. Emulating Smash is one thing... the sales behind those entries are enough to warrant copy-cat behavior. But if you are going to emulate a sport, at least go after one that isn't done nearly as often.

This is really awesome and all, but it's funny to me to see old Archie Sonic isn't the only one to draw Super Sonic as Sonic dunked in yellow paint with no spike-style changes.

The fact that we were this close to seeing Alex Kidd finally take a baseball bat to Sonic and didn't get it greatly disappoints me.

But seriously, I would have spent any money I had to play an S&SAS fighting game. I hate learning of concepts like these that never go anywhere.

The comic book one has the file name "brawl". 

Interestingly the very first one LargoDELLZ posted had the name "P-Concept", so I wonder if it was for a platform game (although unlikely as it does show a racing track).
