It could easily be Double-edged sword in the Japanese version since the original Japanese name of Double-edge is completely different (Life-risking tackle).

I mean, yeah. I just feel it's too straightforward in Japanese.

Idk, I'd prefer if they go a bit more creative, like "cool (like in a chuuni/edgy way)" or "silly" , as they do the high-damage moves. Example:

  • Spoiler
    • (Engish, direct translation, Japanese, Pronounciation)
(Goddo Baado)
(Coorudo Furea)
(Bakuonpa)
    • Doom Desire: Wish of Destruction, (Hametsu no Negai)
    • Last Resort: The Best/Trump Card, (Totteoki)
(Furiizu Boruto)
    • Dragon Ascent: finishing touch/draw the dragon, finish with the eye, (Garyo-tensei)
(Shadou Daibu)
(Daimonji)             ***based on a bonfire used in a Japanese festival

I just realized: there hasn't been anything on Pokémon Sword and Shield since its announcement.

Something's likely to come this month. if I heard right, info after the reveal usually gets revealed in May.

It might be concerning gyms, if we remember the deleted Tweet. Hopefully, along with that, we'll see the box legends.

Which is pretty normal. Marketing tends to increase from May onwards though, so we likely don't have long to wait for more news now.

I've also been hearing from people who've paid a lot of attention to past marketing campaigns that this is entirely typical for mainline non-remake Pokemon releases of recent years; bare-bones announcement early in the year, followed by a blowout in May.  So get hype for this month, probably.

They never usually show something at E3. They either have their own directs, or just using Nintendo Directs.

They did for Sun and Moon, so I wouldn't count out the E3 Direct.

The armoured Mewtwo in the 22nd movie is apparently exclusive to the movie, and is really just nothing more than a redone version of the armour he wore in the original.

If those rumoured “Armour” Pokemon are true, then this isn’t one of them.

Someone missed how Sun and Moon got a big showing at E3, I see.

Also the Let's Go demos in the Treehouse stream last year and the X and Y trailer during the 2013 E3 Direct that showed off the Fairy type for the first time.

A Magikarp & Gyarados t-shirt that won in a Pokemon t-shirt contest will appear in Sword/Shield.

Also, it's confirmed that next month's Coro coro will have actual news.

ok nice, can't wait to not understand Japanese and early translations.

Still tho, we at least got some minor news for the game since February (March/April if you count the Gym tweet leak by NoA) and we will get more in June, which is nice.

I think it's safe to guess we'll also get new info at E3.

Maybe, what CoroCoro will show is just a recap of E3 with some other details in it

Someone pointed out the difference between the initial trailer and the new images we've been given!

It may not make it in after all. Apparently the design was already commercially available as a T-shirt, which was against the rules. It's not clear whether it was plagiarised or the original designer entered it.

Perhaps they'll go with a runner-up instead?

Aw that kinda sucks, I like the design.

Also what are the odds CoroCoro will leak before E3 /half-serious question

They are scrapping the user-submitted shirts from the game itself, including the runner-ups.

Yikes... That's sad and funny (but mostly sad).

I sure hope that doesn't diminish the prospect of future contests.

Well damn, way to ruin the contest for everyone.

So I guess we can rule out Pokemon in the E3 direct. I hope they showcase more new games than games they already announced.
