The second Sonic Music Spectacular went off without a hitch, and went out with a bang. I was very happy to be there almost the entire time (I missed the first 40 minutes), though I was multitasking some of the time. I do have to say I was disappointed there weren't any stuffed nachos, they really made last year's spectacular. 

 

Seriously though, it was a lot of fun, big thanks to @Ryannumber1gamer and the rest of the Motobug staff: @The Deleter, @Kiah, @Forte-Metallix, @Failinhearts, @Spin Attaxx, @kirby1up, @galabance, @CrowtheBoolet, and any one I may have accidentally left out. I honestly can't think of any complaints or critisicm, you all did an amazing job. I can't wait for the finished celebration videos.

SSMB wouldn't be SSMB without Motobug! Here's to another year of Motobug, and another Sonic Music Spectacular!

I wasn't around for the memo updating the start time, so I ended up missing the first 45 minutes. But the remaining 8 plus hours? Oh boy, was it was a joy. There were some staples in the jukebox to be sure, but you guys picked a lot of varied and unexpected goodies! Shout out to all the remixes made specifically for our listening pleasure, absolutely delicious stuff. Coupled with a lively chat and a lovely staff, Motobug provided a gobsmackingly good party that I was proud to be a part of. Thanks to all the organizers for their hard work. It couldn't have been easy trying to keep everything afloat. 

Here's to those incoming Celebration Videos, and another great year of Motobugs. Congrats guys, you've done well.

Gee it was a blast, I even managed to stay awake the whole thing!  When it started it was bright outside, when it ended it was bright again. I'm still a bit tired but I had a blast, so thanks to all of those who participated in it. Especially thanks to the Motobug staff. Also big thanks to @PaulyBFromDa303 for those amazing remixes!

I probably laughed more than I should've had, though luckily no police came to arrest me for disturbance over those hours...

Thanks guys, I was really in a dire need of some good laughs and some good music.

All that's left to wonder though is why was pizza and pasta so liked in our midst?  I smell conspiracy.

Also, if someone manages to find a way to deliver refreshments via stream before next celebration feel free to enlighten people around here.  

Last but not least, sorry if I was too crazy in the last hours, I was quite sleep-deprived at that point. I hope I didn't annoy anybody at that point...

Well, it's been a few days since the event has ended. Going back through the night, I've gotta say that I'm feeling a huge sense of relief. These events (especially with how many I've done between Motobug and Game Night) usually make me feeling worried (just ask the Motobug crew :P), but my worries were for nothing as the event turned out to be a huge success! Throughout the event's actual stream, we had over 30 separate SSMBers join in on the fun and excitement, and I have to say, it really was a ton of fun for myself. With Mania and Forces causing so much division in the Sonic fanbase, and with every single new piece of content seemingly causing more debates and splits, it was nice to have a really fun, positive upbeat night listening to some of the best songs this franchise has to offer. 

I really do want to extend my deepest thank yous to everyone who helped this event happen. Doing community stuff on SSMB, let it be Game Night, Motobug Streams, E3 Streams, and of course, SMS2 is something that I'm extremely happy to bring to the board when I get the chance, and I'm very happy when I can try provide some kind of fun event for everyone here, and in this case, it took the help of everyone to make this event happen. To be honest, I find this event to be one of the ones that perfectly embodies SSMB as a community, because it took a lot of community effort to make it the great success that it ended up being. From @Mightyray, @Failinhearts, @Dee Dude, and @blueblur98's artwork, to @Polkadi and @PaulyBFromDa303's brilliant remixes, to the amazing video efforts from @Spin Attaxx @gala and @kirby1up, this entire event was only possible by you guys. Those who submitted requests. Those who tuned into the stream, those who helped with the video, or the art, or hell, even just gave their support. 

This was an event that was fuelled by you guys. By your efforts. Sonic Musical Spectacular 2 was a community team effort, and I can't thank you all enough for that. For making SMS1 and 2 such a success. For making Motobug such a fun streaming destination to run, and in general, just bringing some positive and lighthearted fun to the series when it's in a really negative and heated debate like environment. Seriously. Thank you all. Because without you, this event that I love doing wouldn't be possible.

In terms of special thanks, I want to throw out thanks to the Motobug crew - @Failinhearts, @Kiah, @gala, @Spin Attaxx, @Princess Jellicent, @The Deleter, @kirby1up, @Forte-Metallix and @风之Klonoa. These guys were the ones who came together and helped make SMS2 into a thing. This was in no part a single effort by myself. These guys were all tremendous help, and they deserve a lot of props. 

I also wanna throw some special thanks out to @Zaysho who really helped out during the last few days of submission when I had lost access to the OP due to the high number of links and such on the first two pages. Without him, getting this show on the road would've been far more difficult. He also helped out with some of the links, even replacing some of the extended versions people posted with the normal versions, which again helped out a lot. 

Of course, mention also has to go to @Mightyray, @Failinhearts, and @Dee Dude for the SMS2 poster on the OP. With alternative colour schemes and such. Double props to Mightyray, who created the excellent artwork of Failin's Sentinel Sonic character for the intro sequence. There's also @Spin Attaxx and @gala for creating the celebration video, and a lot of it's assets, and @kirby1up for creating the custom sprites of Sally, Jet, Sentinel Sonic, and Gamma for the credits sequence.  

And of course, you SSMB. The community that helped this event come to life. 

With that said, there's still some things to get done on my end. We showcased a Work-In-Progress version of the SSMB Community Celebration Video 2 at the end of the SMS2 stream itself and we're still currently developing the finished version which will be released on SSMB when it's finished, like last year's SSMB Celebration Video. We're also currently dealing with the badges (Which will hopefully be given out as soon as possible!). Be assured we've made a record of everyone who's owed what badge, it's just a case of distribution now, so we'll hopefully have those to you all soon.

So, with that said. Thank you all for your participation. Motobug as a whole is something that's been built with the community in mind, and has been trying it's hardest to create events for the community for the past two years, and I'm extremely happy that we could provide another one for the second year anniversary of the streaming hub since Rucdose made it way back when. With that said...

SSMB events involving badges don't technically end until the badges are awarded so it's about time I do that. But not before I give my thoughts, of course .

I was very impressed with how the first Sonic Musical Spectacular event went last year so I was definitely on board to sponsor this event the second time around. Normally when I sponsor an SSMB event as a moderator I only work with either 1 or 2 members but this was the first time I worked with an entire crew and I came into that not knowing what to expect. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as everyone worked so well together so I have to give props to my fellow Motobug Crew members @gala @Failinhearts @Spin Attaxx @Princess Jellicent @The Deleter @kirby1up @Forte-Metallix @风之Klonoa and @Ryannumber1gamer. The "power of teamwork" is an amazing thing and this event is definitely proof of this and this event is another example of something amazing happening when the SSMB comes together . I want to give additional recognition to Ryan for his continued dedication, passion, very hard work and thoughtfulness towards the community here at the SSMB which is very much appreciated by me.

I would also like to thank @Zaysho as well for helping out with making edits to the OP and other parts of the topic as I was having technical difficulties accessing it myself on numerous occasions. And near the event's end I was nearly out of commission due to being sick and going on vacation so Zaysho stepping in helped keep things running smoothly and on schedule so that's much appreciated by me as well.

We can't have an SSMB event that I sponsor without me throwing out some statistics! Even if it's just a few .

Regarding the airing of the Sonic Musical Spectacular I was on vacation but I was able to join in via mobile and hang out with everyone on Motobug while listening to Sonic musical goodness for a little bit. Loved how energetic the chat was although it was hard to keep up with it seeing how fast it was moving! All in all great stuff all round. Happy to have been part of it as a member of the Motobug Crew, the moderator sponsoring this event and definitely being a participant .

If it's any consolation to you, Ryan and I talked it over and agreed that you should get the Badnik Beats badge anyway as we know that you would of been there had you not had the power outage . Speaking of the Badnik Beats badge, it was decided that everyone that simply attended the Sonic Musical Spectacular 2 event on Motobug would be awarded the badge as opposed to all that contributed requests AND attended the airing of the event.
