I think Tangle is lesbian, she's casual with Sonic, but with Blaze she's woah. Look at he expressions when Sonic talks to Blaze it's too cute

I like shipping, but with LIMITS = nothing beyond small clues, kinda like Knouge.

While i'm more for more LGBTQ representation in my everything. Maybe people can be of the opposite gender and not be trying to get in each others, invisible cartoon animal pants all the time. Maybe she just thinks sonic is kinda cool and that's it, and she thinks fire is cooler, maybe she is LGBTQ who knows. But if she isn't she doesn't have an obligation to like the nearest person of opposite gender near her. Maybe she just wants to be his friend dude.

On Rafa - Hope she gets paid for her work regardless if she ever works with SEGA again.

 

On Tangle - Most of her expressions just looked like someone who couldn't keep up with what was going and was just her expressing confusion. As for being impressed with Blaze, why not? Sonic may be fast and tears up robots with ease but most people can't see things clearly when the are approaching the speed of sound especially with smaller bodies. Blaze on the other hand, she put on a fireworks spectacular that not only lit up the sky but took the airship that had been attacking the village right out of it. I'd be more amazed by that display as well. Additionally, Blaze shows a far greater sense of responsibility than Sonic does throughout the whole situation so she kind of does deserve more respect in that regard. Lastly, all of this was just my interpretation of her presentation and and I acknowledge that the LGBTQ hints went right over my which is a good thing. They shouldn't be blatantly hitting people over the head because that is both disrespectful to those who fall under LGBTQ groups and those who don't so I'm pretty happy with how she was presented regardless of how she swings.

Well, considering Tangle is apparently actually something of resembling an audience surrogate....

I loved this first "arc". I love how it got to what each character and what their relationship with Sonic was about. The artwork was great and the writing was breezy and gave the action room like a good Sonic adaptation should. I actually hope we get more stories like these for other Sega characters before we get deep into more complex stuff.

I guess the weak link would be issue 3, since I didn't feel knuckles got enough love and there's a bit too much being introduced at once, but it still had some nice moments like Knuckles taking things a little too seriously.

Issue 4 made up for it in spades though. Blaze and Sonic's interactions were pitch perfect and I like the angle of Tangle being kind of a newbie to the world. There's a lot of subtly to the art too like Blaze's apprehension to being launched in the air and Sonic's constant enthusiasm in his expressions. There's just a lot of cool stuff going on with the action too. As a person who's mostly a games fan this comic is excellent right now.

That's part of what I actually like about her use is that you can kind of tell that she is an audience surrogate while still being her own character. She's kind of a great way to show new readers who have stuck it out this long that yes, the writer is aware that all of this crazy zaniness is hard to follow and doesn't make sense.

Finished reading issue 4. My verdict:

Sure it uses the same formula as the other issues but there were still some things that I liked about it. Evan Stanley's pencils and Matt Herms' colors really go well together and the action scenes were pretty nice. The expressions from Sonic, Tangle and Blaze's smiles were pretty nice. Tangle's fighting style was pretty creative this issue.

Geeked out when Blaze showed up in style. It was cool seeing her team up with the two of them! I'm curious on how the second arc will play out.

Something else to consider is that Sonic's moveset is old hat around those parts. Not only are there other speedsters in Sonic's world with some impressive moves of their own, but how many wives-tales do you think spread out amongst the masses in that town? Once she was told who he was, she had to have on some level started to expect the fantastic things he was doing.

Move over to Blaze, someone who's not world famous, and someone who would mostly be new to any civilian onlooker, she'd be a riot. Not only is she quick, but she controls elemental powers. That's an ability far beyond just about every fuzzy on the planet - save for maybe Silver who is just starting to make a name for himself in this timeline.

Despite not being nearly as famous, Blaze stands out more. She's bending fire for goodness sake.

Any wsy on a different note. Admittedly I'm on the "Tangle reads Gay" in how she reacts to Blaze camp. But I'm not expecting her and Blaze to be dating next time they show up. Just that she seems really flustered by her. Than again a mystery woman did just pop up out of a column of fire so that'd take most people off gaurd.

How is anyone pulling the tangle may be gay card is beyond me. It's like reaching into a no pun fire to find a piece of paper. only real ship Sega goes with a lot is the sonic any one. rouge used to tease knucks but that died down after battle.

She last teased Knuckles in Colors DS. And they still allowed romance in Boom.

Teasing is fine, full on romantic relationships is not. For SEGA characters. For exclusives, they have a lot more freedom. So if Ian did want Tangle to be gay.. it'd be mildly hinted at and confirmed on the Internet later.

There are a lot of kids and teens who like sonic along with a lot of adults who either don't know or will throw away their knowledge of how ...like relationships work to push a ship. Its why I have never thought rouge and knuckles was ever a good ship ever
