No, seriously, I see no cover.

Yep, the cover seemingly disappeared for me too, strange.

I always though it's a big miss-opportunity that ME wasn't in the Resistance Base, as a power generator or something, kinda like Sonic X season 3. It would add a bit color to the room and tell us that writers can about most basic lore stuff, plus emphasis Knuckles key role in the group.

It wont emphasize knuckles's " key role" it will give him a role. In forces he was a simpleton that did nothing and it seemed like he just declared himself leader, no one pays him attention because they are actually doing stuff. And only bother to tell him things when they are about to do them to humor him. And the one time he devised a plan he got a bunch of people killed.

So that would give him a thing to do, besides be stupid and do nothing

Will they keep Knuckles as the leader of the resistance? If so, how will the master emerald be protected?

I think there wont be a leader of the resistance, I think there will be an interesting interpretation on events. That might see a lot of characters shuffled around , or removed , or I don't even know. The comic book doesn't have the luxury of supplementing a bad story with game play so they are gonna have to actually tell a story based on sonic forces , who's plot holes are...uh wide to say the least.

Maybe they will never reference it, I dunno.

So, do you guys think Ian will write in subtle jabs at Forces or lampshade how fans felt about it?

Forces? No

Infinite if they can use him? Yes

I think he can throw some slight jabs Forces, judging by his thoughts on it on his Bumblekast, including Infinite.

From what I remember, he seems to view the whole game as a missed opportunity.

Given SEGA's keeping a closer eye on the comic, I doubt it. I wouldn't want them anyway.

I hope not. The last thing this comic needs is meta humor/memes.

The former is only negative if overused...is not automatically bad. Don't treat as death touch.

The latter however, will most likely be cringey.

He pretty said that Forces had good ideas, but the execution of those ideas was less than perfect.

Tell that to the less-than-subtle blows that happen on the official Twitter.

Okay.

"Hey, Sonic Twitter, I bet you'd be as restricted in what you can do about self-referential humour if you were a carefully watched merchandise branch there to promote games instead of being left to your devices to just bring awareness to the brand".

Now what.

Language child.

Yeah, I think Ian wasn't too fond of Last Jedi like most others.

I think "most others" are on the same boat as Ian, but that's a topic for another day.

I remember being mixed and/or otherwise not sure what to think about a lot of things myself, but it'll be nice to hear what someone besides Brainscratch and RedLetterMedia thinks.
