What levels do you want in Forces?

Hey guys, I hope it's ok I make this thread. I want to make something a bit cheery since I know a lot of fans on this forum don't like Forces and I get a bit intimidated lol. So I've made this as a way to have fun as a community :) .

I've heard that Forces might be having old levels back, with Green Hill returning (man, that's such a cool and iconic stage) and Infinite being able to control time. I've also heard rumours Chemical Factory might be coming back. So I was wondering, if they do bring old levels back, what would you want?

I've only played Adventure and Adventure 2, so excuse my noobinish :( . But, I'd really like to see Adventure levels with the whole Adventure vibe they are going with (which is what got me interested in Forces in the first place!) My favourite stages in Adventure 2 were City Escape and Metal Harbour, aw man, they were such fun levels! I think Metal Harbour would be a good choice with that park level looking similar to City Escape. But I think some more obscure levels would be cool too, imagine a new version of Pumpkin Hill! Aw man, that was such a wicked level! I think there was something in Aventure called Mystic Ruins, it would be interesting to go back there and make a whole level out of that theme!

As you can see I'm pretty excited lol :)

Well new levels. Tough think the general aesthetic of Forces is demolished versions of typical tropes. I would want the theme of military base in the sea (Metal Harbor) but it gone wrong.

That's a really cool idea Chika, imagine an aerial battle with those harriers and bombs falling all around the player. That would be awesome!

I'd much prefer new levels than returning ones, I'm really curious in kind of levels those were in the Infinite trailer.

One of them had like a hive aesthetic similar to Honeycomb Highway and Power Plant.

There was also that ruin area where Sonic was talking to Infinite.

For ideas: Eggman utopias are a much, I'd imagine some places really fun like a night casino where everything is entirely Eggman themed.

I think what would be really interesting if Eggman had different bases everywhere since he's taken over the world, it might even happen too considering the game has a map.

So possibly castle bases, water bases, etc.

I would like to see sky sanctuary zone reappear in forces as a remilitarized base during a storm. An epic battle in the storm between Sonic's airforces and eggman's airforces.

I'd also like to see metal harbor return as well. An epic battle at sea between sonic's naval forces and eggman's naval forces.

I think the Infinite trailer already confirms a bunch of new zones, or if they are returning, they look completely different.

I'd like a stage akin to Egg Fleet in Heroes and one similar to Aquatic Base. I'd LOVE a new space zone akin to Final Rush. I hope the temple-looking area in the Enter Infinite trailer is a stage similar to Lost World from Adventure.

I don't want many zones to return at all, if I'm being honest. We got that with Generations (3D) and Mania (2D). BUT, that doesn't mean I'm not open to the idea of zones returning. Here are some zone ideas (both original and remixed) I want to see.

  • Green Hill: The Sand can be crystalized when boosting over it, so Modern's version of the Stage has Jungle Joyride elements. Classic's level (hopefully) get's re-worked to explore inside Green Hill's caves. Avatar's take on the stage is fine enough as is.
  • Park Avenue: Stages seems fine enough for both Modern and Avatar, just didn't see Classic's take on the zone yet. Maybe tap into it's inner Crisis City Classic and have the stage feature interactive elements (the Death Egg Robots making platforms when 'punching into the screen', which Classic jumps across not unlike the Generations fight)
  • Valley of Waves: Water zone that has Sonic and the crew exploring a nature reserve largely untouched by Eggman and Infinite. You explore underwater sections as all three characters, with Modern running around in 3D for underwater. The boost get's replaced with a special bubble shield, that get's refiled as you collect more rings, pushing you to be mindful of speed as you navigate mines and other hazards. Classic and Avatar's take mirrors something like Aquatic Ruin or Hydrocity Zone but with facing more of Eggman's forces. Maybe have Chaos call this his 'domain', with the water moving and shifting as you explore the stage.
  • Planet Wisp: This should return or at least some form of Wisp factory. They ARE in Forces, so this could explain WHY. More metallic and a dangerous Eggman base through and full. Takes a lot from Eggmanland and Metropolis Zone in terms of structure and design for ALL characters. The hook Avatar has can be used to pull down bridges and objects (not unlike the Enerbeam) to get across tricky platforms. The elemental shields are a huge gimmick for Classic, with each one being used for something (Ex: Fire burns wooden platforms and nearby oil spills and Electric pushes you to walk upside down). Modern explores most of the forest area but ends up ending the stage with a fight with Infinite.
  • Press Garden: Mania zone is featured in Forces, fully in 3D and the defactor 'ice' level. Sonic snowboards through a torn-up printing press, Classic deals with new gimmicks (running across flying papers) and Avatar tries to fight through waves of robots as he avoids getting frozen by ice. Music based on Act 2 of the stage but with a orchestra rock remix.

I will think up of more stage ideas later :).

That actually makes for an interesting sidebar. If Eggman controls 99% of the planet, would his influence reach all the way to Angel Island? Could that be the 1% that is still free? Is the Master Emerald in trouble?!

Whoo boy. That's a lot of ground to cover.

Even with the "iconic" qualification, all I hope for is that they bring back zones which haven't already been remade anywhere.  I could see their logic being that "players have been refamiliarised with this zone recently, so now it's time to show them how we can change it," but I'd like to see a more diverse spread of levels than just the tried-and-true.  Granted, with Forces having been in production before Mania, it's quite possible that there could be some overlap, but one hopes that they'd have selected Mania stages with this in mind, too.

One thing I think we're unlikely to get are any of Mania's original stages.  Again, it's a matter of Forces having been in production first, so I assume that they'll have locked in a level list long before Mania's own level selection was established.  I suppose I could see us perhaps getting Studiopolis, since that was in the very pitch for Mania.

Eeh... I'm not even mad about them reusing levels right now, I just hope they don't pick the ones used in Generations and Mania

I'd like to see stages on Angel Island, it doesn't matter if new or old, I just want to see the island again in a 3D game
They could even acknowledge the existence of the Master Emerald again
I'd like to see them acknowledge and setting a stage on the Lost Hex (because of Zavok's presence), I'd be happy if they at least tried to explain it
Hell you can even throw Little Planet into the mix, we could finally see it in a modern setting

A new Eggmanland would be nice and appropriate, not necessarily based on the one in Unleashed but with the same concept

I'd like to see stages from Adventure 1 and 2 come back (they could finally acknowledge Station Square again)

Remember that Studiopolis was the very first thing shown to Iszuka when the game was pitched as 'Sonic Discovery', so maybe that zone could show up in Forces. Also Press Garden has a shot, considering how Aaron commented how they spent a long time with Sonic Team discussing how the zone should look/feel.

More than anything i want to see Rail canyon and Kingdom valley back as stages.

Rail canyon felt like i was infiltrating eggman's base (even though you weren't) and it had such an eerie canyon backdrop.

Kingdom valley because I'm a total sucker for 06  and i'd like to see the vegetation overtake even more of the place

Id love for the return of iron jungle from shadow. The music is great and plus a cameo from omega.

Crazy Gadget, so we can get back to see the moon again, and it's derelict other side.

Eggmanland, because what happened to that base anyway?

Emerald Hill, because we might as well do so, and it would be easy to make. Palmtree  Panic as well.
