Phew, this took a while, but I managed to rank #38 in Hydrocity Act 2 (Sonic). Here is my time:

01'03"00 as Sonic on Mirage Saloon Act 2

I could break the minute mark, but I stayed up FAR too late to continue trying.

The first half of Mirage Saloon is based on blind jumps, the second half is based on speeding up with much trial and error. Better hope you didn't make a wrong move, you'll fuck over EVERYTHING.

Managed to shave 10 seconds off my time in Metallic Madness Act 1 (Sonic). It's strange because I messed up and found a pathway that was faster than the route I took for my previous records. Strange, but it worked out great:

Phew, this took awhile, but I managed to get 1:23.38 on Press Garden Act 2 (Sonic). I still need to brush up on my skills to be able to cut even more time, but I'm overall pretty happy with this:

They work on the Switch version albeit, it crashes frequently. It usually takes me 1-3 tries before I can enter the leaderboard.

Edit: Updating because I managed to set another PR on Lava Reef Act 1 (Sonic) with a time of 2:41.49. There's still room of improvement, but this was a great run. I am now rank #41:

33"91 seems like a decent time for Green Hill Act 2 as Sonic. Idk if it matters but this is the PC version. And it's glitchless.

You're definitely doing it the right way, but you can shave off quite a few seconds if you manage to get through the entirety of the first platforming section without stopping. It's probably more important than dropdashing, tbh. Remaining in a spindash for the entirity of the first straightaway is probably the fastest option there is, as well, instead of jumping at the hill and then dropdashing again.

Overall you just need to be really aware of how much you can slow down when jumping in the air, when dropdashing or fluidity is more beneficial than the other, and what parts of the level may hinder you more than they need to (*coughIfoundanotherbetterpathcough* << >>) and you should be able to shave a good 4 seconds off your runtime overall. Which... is exactly what the top times are, above 28 seconds, lol.

My route has no exploits, and is easier to do. It's the same as the video, but you don't take the jump onto the higher path.

That's what this thread is for, lol. Since the leaderboards get so messy with hackers in the first place, why not compete against people who are actually playing by the rules, instead? : P

This took me 40-45 minutes, but I managed to hit 1:24.66 on Metallic Madness Act 1 (Sonic). I might only be able to cut a few seconds at most without exploits. It sucks knowing that you're going to reach your limit soon.
