Will sonic forces keep us busy for months or weeks

Well Sonic games aren't usually long so I'd say a couple of weeks.

That's the main reason why I'm gonna beat Forces before I start Mario Odyssey. I know Mario's gonna keep me occupied for a very long time.

Honestly, with it being $40, I'm expecting something shy of 5 hours to beat. I know length doesn't necessarily correlate with price, but given Sonic's design circumstances and so forth, its a reasonable bet. 

Initially, I thought this was in development since 2013, and we'd be getting a gigantic, $60 game. Clearly this isn't happening.

Well, it's primarily a boost game, so I think "days" is closer to the mark, especially if you're not into achievement hunting, item collecting, or the inevitable filler minigames.
