HOT FUCKING DAMN IT'S SOMETHING NEW! And holy shit this stage will look GORGEOUS in 4K. Those neon lights in the background man.

And the music track sounds like something I'd hear from the Genesis.

But... Sonic's jump feels floatier.

I hope there's a Modern version of this stage.

Well, it's an original take on a casino zone. I'll give it that.

So now we've seen three Zones in Forces, after knowing of this game's existence for over a year and just a wee bit over a month until release. At least it's not like Generations, where every level and boss was leaked way before the game came out.

Looks like it, yeah. So I was half right.

And the music is great.

It looks alright visually, but still suffers from what we've seen of Classic since the beginning. Blocky and simplistic platforming, not really much depth to what we've seen of the level design, and honestly feels super empty

We'll probably enter the Casino in one of the acts.

I guess it'll look like Frozen Factory Act 3 but in FUR KAY.

Is it just me or does this level design look pretty decent? Especially compared to Classic Green Hill, it looks like there are a bit more alternate pathways and some layered level design.

the music....

Classic Sonic will have good music?!

I'm pretty sure they're using the actual Genesis soundfont for Classic Sonic's stages. At least, it sounds that way to me. Green Hill sounded a bit off, but I didn't get where the Sonic 4 cat synth comparisons were coming from, it kinda sounded like something from Sonic 3D Blast 16-bit. This one reminds me of Evening Star from Knuckles Chaotix.

The description called it "ancient ruins which were turned into a casino by Eggman".

So maybe it's a new place instead of Silent Forest?

The best thing for me, is that this level doesn't come off as nearly as automated or "press you forward to the end no matter what" as Classic Sonic's green hill zone appeared.

I doubt it's actually suppose to be the same Silent Forest from Lost World. But they still are reusing the theme/concept of design from Silent Forest regardless.

Huh did that guy just control Sonic's movement in midair at 0:13? I can't recall if you could do that in Generations or not.

Also the stage looks big.

So apparently Tails is working with Classic Sonic to find his Modern counterpart? Interesting.

And considering Tails has only otherwise appeared via radio for Classic's Eggman boss, looks like he's gonna be acting as the retro hedgehog's personal guide and voice.

I quite like this level. I love casino/pachinko themed levels in Sonic games. Kind of interesting to see two Sonic cliches mashed up together-- reminds me of the Boom TV formula of taking an established cliche and putting some new twist on it. Plus you do get some alt paths in this level, which is good.

Hey, maybe Forces won't just be automation after all!

Sonic Team, do more of this "showing off different zones in the game" thing! People like it when you do this!

I get what it’s trying to do, but I personally don’t like the looks of it. It looks too random. The forest setting doesn’t blend well with the casino/pinball setting.

The casino objects seem randomly scattered, instead of symmetrically placed. The level feels empty. Too much blank space, and no enemies or enough traps in sight...
