This is the best stage in the game ive seen so far, nice asthetic, decent music and actual LEVEL DESIGN.  Will be pretty funny if classic ends up being the least bad lol

Glad they finally showed off a new stage, and it looks nice. If this means they're showing off more stages, this is a good sign.

I'm not placing any bets immediately, but between this being a later stage, and word that the builds that have been played have been the exact same builds from earlier this year, not showing any behind-the-scenes changes that might've occurred yet, I wouldn't be surprised if lesser automation is actually a thing across the board on each of the gameplay styles in later stages if this is anything to go by.

It’s great to see an original stage. I’m happy that they’ve finally shown us somewhere that isn’t Green Hill or Park Avenue. As a concept, Casino Forest is a decent idea, but I can’t say I’m thrilled with the footage.

Visually, it’s distinct from other casino zones but there’s literally no original gimmicks here. It’s just Casino Night Zone with a forest background. Neither the forest nor the ruins feel like part of the stage. The lack of badniks also makes this stage feel pretty empty based on this footage, but maybe that will change in the final version.

Also, does anyone else find the music for this stage particularly awful? Hates GHZ Classic at first too but I’ve gotten used to it, but I’m not too sure I’ll have the same reaction to Casino Forest.

Wait, this game has more than two zones? Splendid.

My thoughts: Looks pretty okay. Basically Silent Forest + Casino Night, so this game is doing what Sonic 4: Episode II did by mixing two themes together, and I don't know how to feel about that, especially since there doesn't seem to be any new Casino or Forest gimmicks, it's just the same Casino gimmicks we've had since Sonic 2, but we'll see.

The level design looks slightly better.

The physics still look whack and the music is still awful Sonic 4 tier stuff again, but the actual level theming is rather nicely done and the level design looks a tiny bit better/automated than classic's abysmal Forces!GHZ (although still nowhere near actually being good, mind - blocks are back again and what even is that bit at the end with all the rings).

Still nowhere near Mania's level of quality, but it's an improvement I guess.

I just realized... In Sonic Forces:

Park Avenue is Rooftop Run + Crisis City.

Green Hill is Green Hill + Sandopolis.

Casino Forest is Casino Night + Silent Forest.

Sonic 4: Episode III confirmed.

So that's why Little Planet is in Sonic Mania, Sonic Mania is a prequel to Sonic 4!

Sonic Mania is Sonic 4: Episode 0 confirmed.

Now people can stop saying "new stage when?" Of course complainers will still happen as usual.

Why was this comment necessary? You claim to hate complaining, yet you make a post complaining about the complaining.

If you're tired of reading criticism, ignore it and talk about the actual post.

I'm placing my bets on this stage being the 3rd one in the game

Because it's the stage where Infinite introduce himself to Sonic

Infinite's powers are gambling then?

Seems nice but it does seem a bit empty. You think Eggman is trying to distract people with thia like Breezie did with the Shattered World crisis in the comics?

Does seem to be a pattern here.

We’re pretty sure Sky Sanctuary is in the game because of Sonic Forces Mobile. What could that be mixed with? Flying Battery?

I did also stop complaining about stating what's obvious like the SSMB usually is......

I really like the way they combined the themes. I like the tune of the music, but I don't like them using the Genesis sound font. The level seems pretty blocky, but it does seem fairly large with some alternate paths instead of pits.

The part at 43 seconds in IGN's video really bothered me, though. Sonic seems to be glued to the floor and wall while rolling.

Also, they're still using the wrong jump sound :V

I sound like a broken record.

I would just like to point this out:

Defend it please. Timestamp.

I liked classic Sonic in Gens, we've heard his physics are pretty much 1:1 the same in Forces. Im not turn against him beacause hes in this game, im aware of his faults.

Cool. The stage reminds me of collision chaos but at night. The music is kinda bad it's downright hilarious! All I heard was *Ta!-TA-TA-TA-TA-TATATATATATATA!-TATA!TATA!* I'm sure it sounds better in game though.

Gens had slope physics. This game doesn't. This is legit worse than Generations.

It's a new level alright.

But I'm gonna be dead honest:

It looks barren, uninteresting and uninspired... I saw better Generations' mods than this, I'm not joking.

It doesn't looks fun to play, at all. Classic Sonic's jump looks waaaaay off too, but whatever, I'm over this "physics are wonk" talk when it comes to Sonic Team.

This game, man.

That's the thing. It could turn out to be intuitive and interesting or awkward and automated. I won't be surprised either way. WECANSHOWTHEWORLDWHAT WECANDO, YOURERIGHTNEXTTOMEANDIM NEXTTOYOU, PUSHING ON THR- fuck you.
