I (sometimes) make Sonic themed AMVs

Recommended Posts

I sometimes get in the mood to make a Sonic-themed AMV. It started all the way back in 2014 with this AMV set to Bon Jovi's "It's My Life"

Not the best. It was made before I even knew much about editing.

Then I tried again and got better with an AMV set to Fall Out Boy's "Centuries".

This one received a lot more recognition because it was just around the time the song came out and there weren't that many AMV's to go with it. It has a few cringy effects like the spinning at 1:52. But hey if people like it then I won't stop them.

I took a hiatus and uploaded some other videos. But I was recently inspired to make another Sonic AMV. This time with a less mainstream inspiration: the war-focused power metal band Sabaton. I took their song "Resist and Bite" and applied it to the Resistance in Sonic Forces.

While I did lose some of the cringy effects in this one, I think I didn't do enough editing and some of it is just long stretches of unedited footage playing. But hey it was only just released to time will tell how people react.

Your mileage may vary with these. I make them in Windows Movie Maker and usually throw them together in one sitting. I vastly prefer the pre-2010 games hence why pretty much all the footage for those AMV's is from those games. The Forces one being the obvious exception.

I hope you enjoy. Who knows, I might make another AMV at some point.
