I'm not really a liberal (I am in favor of diversity and against racism, I'm just often not keen on many of the ways too many liberals go about supposedly promoting these and other aims, with this being a good example of doing so in a stupid and even missing-the-point sort of way - not that I think it's inevitable for liberals to do that badly, of course, and not that I want to have an in-depth discussion of all that right now, just giving background info), but certainly even to liberals this seems crazy or at least really strange??

Theirs been a rise in Anti-Gaffer's since the closure, and some are pretty hellbent on destroying anything that remains of NeoGAF, wither it's for good intentions or just to be a total asshole. twitters, discords, temp forums, they are raiding them all  and forcing closure on some of them.

Best not to take everything you guys hear as truth until ResetERA actually opens, that tweet should've been obvious though.

But come on. I made a mod (probably duckroll) tick because I forgot to add "person?" They didn't even try to correct me, warn me or whatever, just threw the banhammer at me. And the ban reason was pathetic. I forgot most of it, but I remember one of the lines saying "I need to educate myself on how to stop victim blaming" or something like that. You wouldn't want to go near me around that time. I was fuming. WTH? I didn't even get a chance to respond! Tried e-mailing them, tweeting them...they basically ignored me.

The tempbanning made me realize how poison and how strong the dictatorship of the staff team were. I didn't believe it when I hear permabanned members kept saying so, but after that moment I had to believe them.

for example, the scumlords and anti-gaffers on 8chan are using the usernames they got from raiding discords to post social media profiles on pastebin.

this is getting vile, I can understand being anti-neogaf but this is taking it a step further.

No problem, bringing attn. to the fact it exists is good but IDK if linking to what is basically doxxing is a good thing. You're not in trouble or anything.

Someone I know IRL is on that list but it's just his social media accounts. I think they might have got the list of people from those that were following Resetera on twitter and are just cross referencing them with gaf usernames. His doesn't seem to be linked to his acct. so I guess he's lucky he used a different handle on twitter.

By the by- I don't understand the malicious obsession with ruining the lives on people just because they were members of a forum you didn't like. What the fuck

The pastebin full of accounts is pretty awful. How pathetic do people have to be to go out of their way to try and make people miserable.

It should be noted that if you go to the mobile GAF site and check the categories, Off-Topic is completely gone. You can't actually see any content, but it's pretty clear that OT got nuked to mitigate shit talk against him. So many threads and communities gone.

With regards to ResetEra, we're getting regular updates on how things are progressing, which is nice, and the admin staff that's been chosen is fairly encouraging. No exact ETA on when the new site will be up, but a lot of the things I've been hearing are quite encouraging.

EDIT: Malka's statements and responses in that Waypoint article are also awful. Like, holy shit.
