Should the vocal themes change to punk rock?

I've been thinking about the vocal themes lately and it occurred to me that punk rock would be a much better fit for Sonic. It's upbeat, fast-paced, and in-your-face, just like Sonic himself. It also has a less serious overall tone, which could serve to supplement a lighthearted story or make a nice contrast to a dark one. I want punk rock in Sonic.

I’d prefer that over the heavily synthesized music and vocals from Sonic Forces, that’s for sure.

Rap is the new punk. Sonic should go back to it's RnB/Pop roots and soundtrack the new game in UK Grime

Punk would have been a good fit for Sonic Forces, given the rebellion tone.

I prefer the Adventure games' mish-mash of different styles. You had rock, pop, rap, jazz, etc.

No need to stick to one particular style when you can just sample them all.
