"10/10/2016 Watch Out for Robotnik" AKA, the Sonic Schoolhouse Enigma

So, in Sonic Schoolhouse... On one of the whiteboards, it says "10/10/2016 Watch out for Robotnik". I've never noticed this before, but it's there. What does this mean? Did anything actually happen?

I don't think it's a message of any sort. I'm pretty sure the computer Connor was running Schoolhouse on was set to October 10th 2016 and the whiteboard is merely restating the date registered for the player with the "Watch out for Robotnik" thing being a simple warning for the player to watch out for Eggman getting in the way of you answering questions in the game.

If that's true, than I think that this game is fucking with us. It's not intended for children, it's a prophecy in disguise. On 10/10/2016, Robotnik entered the human world.

I used to play this game in 3rd grade lol. We had a game time and because I loved Sonic I was allowed to play it. It was great when I was a kid tbh. Never knew this was a thing!

Actually, no. I was just playing it on my computer a couple of days ago and it popped into my head a few minutes ago, so I decided to post about it.

So you found it on your copy of the game as well?

If that's truly the case than something else really is up. I don't have Schoolhouse to verify this for myself.

Yeah. I was playing it with a friend of mine a few days ago. It was his copy of the game.

Odd.

The only possible explaination that isn't hokey "hidden cryptic conspiracy message" which I have is that the game is programmed to keep track of dates for a certain amount of time, and it didn't expect anyone to play it longer than that maximum.

As such, the date is capped out at October 10th 2016.

The only way to prove this is to change the computer date to October 9th 2016 or earlier and see if it changes.

I investigated and the truth is that the video Connor made took footage from another video which was uploaded on that date here: https://youtu.be/EqZRN0bEGBE?t=18m56s

I'm very disappointed that he would take someones footage and hide it to pretend it's his own 

The game just uses the date of the pc and "watch out for Robotnik" is an instruction because he is trying to catch you during this game

Well then... Must be something this their copy of the game, as we did in fact check the date and it was correct.

Well when you think about it you have to pay MONEY for the game from what I remember in 2004 when I went to my local videogame shop and I can kinda understand him using footage because I really wouldn't pay for something that's under my age or has creepy graphics so I can understand why because even Lord knows I wouldn't pay for it so please take this with a grain of salt if you don't understand
