Recommended Posts

So you've been wondering when or how to do sonic generations stage mods? well here I am and oh boy, this is gonna take awhile, sorry but there are gonna be no images whatsoever in this tutorial, but there will be links and hopefully, I can create more topics about this kind of subject and hopefully can make more in the future.

3Ds max, please get a version above 2018 (I recommend that you get 2015 while it's still here) link: autodesk.com/education/free-software/3ds-max

SonicGLvl, we will be using this A LOT (credit goes to @Dario ff) link: github.com/DarioSamo/libgens-sonicglvl

Any model format of any kind the models' resource is a great place to get rips from games: https://www.models-resource.com/

a non-cracked copy of Sonic Generations on steam :http://store.steampowered.com/app/71340

So, let's start with organizing in your documents folder inside your system's hard drive, and then create a new folder called "sonic" and open up the folder, then add a brand new folder called "sonic generations" inside that folder create 3 new folders under thee names "stages (orignal format)" ".fbx version of stages" and "unpacked cpk" now  inside "unpacked cpk" create 3 new folders called bb, bb2, and bb3 this where we will store the oringinal game files we're gonna be using are gonna be stored here

now go to windows :C > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Sonic Generations > disk now copy + paste bb bb2 and bb3 to each of the folders you created (example: bb.cpk inside documents > Sonic > Sonic Generations > unpacked cpk >  bb etc.)

then drag + drop each cpk onto PackCpk wait for the window to close and now you will see another folder named the same as the file you just dragged and dropped do this with bb2 and bb3
