The Post Modern Sonic Era and the New Classic Era

Does anybody else think that Lost World and Forces are part of a Post Modern Era of Sonic, due to Lost World's rebooted gameplay elements and Forces' lack of humans, and the existance of "Mobians"? Does anybody else think that 4, Mania, and Forces are part of a New Classic Era? Furthermore, what if the New Classic Era timeline goes something like this, Sonic Mania (Sonic goes to Egg Reverie Zone , then goes into a portal), Sonic Forces (Sonic ends up in the events of Sonic Forces, and then after the final boss, Classic Sonic is shown using the Homing Attack, and Classic Sonic returns home), Sonic 4 Episode 1 and 2 (Classic Sonic can now use the homing attack). Does this make any sense?

I like to call it the Neo-Classic Era. The best candidate to fit this name is Sonic Mania, but I guess Lost World too because it has a focus on little critters, and Sonic design is changed to look a bit more classic, everything is more simple-looking, same in Forces (but I wouldn't define that game classic, but something else entirely, since it has a more balanced tone for story and design, it's its own thing).

Nah. Lost World is just a weird experiment and Forces reestablished the boost gameplay as "the" gameplay of Modern Sonic. And Forces having animal NPCs and no human NPCs is just because of the dumb "two worlds" thing they've come up with.

There'd be no point in making a new "Classic" era just to have him turn into Modern Sonic again. Sonic 4 has nothing to do with new-Classic (and nothing to do with old classic aside from being a shitty imitation of it).
