(Btw mobile version announced as exclusive for Apple Arcade… meh)

I think that screen is NOT from reused track Lost Palace, it seems a new Seaside Hill track, but I'm not sure if this is exclusive to the Apple port or not.

Edit, found some screens of Frozen Junkyard here: https://regionps.com/team-sonic-racing-nuevas-imagenes-del-circuito-frozen-junkyard/

AND more Bingo Party footage (no sign of Roulette Road):

Also, I found this on reddit, by TheRealSlippyToad:  (what more stages would you like to see in this?)77r8fpx29co21.png

Most likely it's simply that the mobile version is undoubtedly simplifying the models of everything else, so giving similarly low poly models to minor background details doesn't take up as much resources as it would in the other versions comparatively.

A spooky rooftop run? I really like how creative this team is with re-using level themes.

Tee's composition is unsurprisingly amazing, but I'd like to see new gameplay now.

"Composed by Tee Performance"

The track is ok, the scenario brought Mystic Mansion to my mind before Rooftop Run, in fact.

Okay, now that's cool.

Taking Rooftop Run and turning it into a Haunted Castle. That's the creative spark I like seeing more of.

Sonic and Tails, everything went to shit when you left. Spagonia has gone to the Thriller.

Avoid the Zombie Professor Pickle, he'll try and sell you his rotten cucumber sandwiches and when he does you'll turn too.

It would have been great had it been a remix of Hang Castle or even Mystic Mansion. Too bad. Still, this is the kind of thing you do more of when you bring old stages back. Sonic Forces should have had "Mean Hill Zone" with the barb wire and the lightning storm.

Again with the freaking music? Just release an album instead, if you put so much effort into the music and the marketing of it! Show us the freaking track, show us gameplay of the track! People could test Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled today and we have seen gameplay of four tracks! How the fridge can this game compete with either Crash or Mario? Crash has shown us more gameplay, more tracks, more animation, has more characters and tracks now that the CNK tracks are coming, more fanservice if the rumors are true about Spyro and other additional Crash characters, more people could test this game out unlike with TSR!

I mean, come on Sega! You have shown us more stuff that surrounds the game rather than the game itself. That little animated short you have shown us a couple of weeks was nice and all but doesn't really reflect the quality of the game. Show us the freaking game already!

What about the story and mission mode? Those things are still in the game, right? Why not show us a bit of these two modes?

They have shown gameplay though and recently. I know music is not much, but there is nothing wrong with posting stage themes as a minor announcement...

By the way, I think we will get something at FES this weekend.

Of course, it is wrong! This is a racing game! Not a freaking music album! So, therefore they have to show us more of the gameplay! Tracks, characters, modes, just something else besides music! Music is actually one of the last things people think of when they talk about a fun racer: priorities are the gameplay, controls, tracks, modes, characters, balance, vehicles, items and maybe then comes the music! Sega really focuses way too much on the most unimportant thing for this game!

And the music isn't even that good. For my liking, they focus just way too much on the electric guitar.

I'm totally torn on the fact that Tee provided a brand new composition for a  spooky, nighttime Rooftop Run act. On the one hand, it was the perfect opportunity to remix Rooftop Run night, Spagonia hub, Hang Castle or Mystic Mansion. They would have been such obvious choices and they've been missed, despite the fact that they're rather unlikely to be remixed elsewhere in this game or any other. On the other hand, it's amazing to hear Tee compose more original music for the series and this is the first time we've had something from him designed to go with Modern Sonic. I'm pleased, although not surprised, to see that Haunted Castle's music typical Tee goodness that's incredibly fun to listen to. This entire game just has such a brilliant soundtrack. It's easily shaping up to one of the best in the series history.

The theme of the level is also really awesome. I was expecting a nighttime variant of Rooftop Run to be more grounded in what Unleashed and Generations gave us, and it would go about the sewers/underground with all the barrels. This is so much more creative. I'm looking forward too seeing this track in action.

Obligatory mention of the fact that yes, it is really annoying to see these music tracks come out rather than 30 - 60 seconds of gameplay footage from the level. But maybe we'll see more with the livestream tonight.

I wonder if that means that world sets can crossover (Boo's House x Market Street).

This is another good indication that that dev's arn't sacrificing track variety to their 3 levels per world layout. Between a volcano level in the ice world, the diversity in the planet wisp biomes and now this - I feel much better about the tracks as a whole then I did say... a month ago.

There is no point about griping over further music drops, because we just got a trailer with some footage and a breakdown of the customization feature (which might be its biggest selling point to leverage against other Kart Racers). As long as we don't have to go through another unreasonable drought to get to the next set of gameplay reveals, they can pump out as much music as they want.

The problem with the marketing strategy was that they were showing the music and nothing else. Now that we got a little something else, we can wait for more and appreciate the music as extra on top - rather than watching them attempt to let it stand in for the meat and potatoes.

Any chance of a Pumpkin Hill-influenced track to go with the Seaside Hill ones? Probably not, but I can't get enough of the spooky stages so here's hoping.

My updated opinion on what happend with this game (I may be completely wrong, this is just speculation):

For this game I think they aimed at a younger and mostly male audience, more than usual; because of this, they excluded all the characters who can be considered too much cutesy or have an high pitched voice (Cream and Charmy - also considering how important voice acting is in this game). Amy is considered too much as a main character to be excluded, so they still put her in the game, but to compensate, they transformed her team from Team Rose to Team Meme (Big and Omochao). Regardless, they advertised Shadow and Team Dark before Team Rose, and if we exclude the animated short (that anyway mostly focuses on Big the Cat), they probably advertised Team Dark more in general, with Shadow also being in the launch trailer and on the boxart of the game (my point is, they focused on the "cool" factor more than usual, and the focus on "cute" elements has been moved to "funny" elements - mostly Team Rose and the meme factor). Espio is just unlucky: after removing Charmy from team Chaotix, and putting Vector with Blaze and Silver, simply there was no more spacce for him, and he's not popular enough to justify a redesign of the game/team mechanics only to include him.

They just went with the more popular or notable characters. This also isn't the first time Vector has been lifted from Chaotix to fulfill a required strength role (Mario and Sonic, Sonic Free Riders).

I don't have an issue with dropping more music in general but yes I do agree that we need to get more of a showcase going here. The customization trailer was neat and a definite step in the right direction. It's probably a lot more effective on people who are confident in their ability to handle the options provided with a character or car creator than someone like me who's a bit intimidated by that but it's a significant amount of stuff they've got there.

However, there's a part of me that can't let go of how similar this all is to what Forces did. It's looking way better than Forces but the methods used in the construction of this game's format and the way it's being marketed is way too reminiscent of it for that uneasy feeling to completely go away. Throwing out music tracks and showing very little gameplay is something we went through before. Granted, Forces didn't get it's own little animation, nor was it's customization options as in-depth as what we saw here versus the avatar, nor are the three variations of the same stage super redundant looking

That last one I'm the most grateful for. In Forces the three characters literally just went through three versions of the same place with different names. Turning Spagonia into a Haunted Castle is amazing. Having Boo's House include the haunted elements from the ghost filled pyramid from SA2 while having the Sand Road variant from Sonic Adventure is great. Even as someone who prefers the levels all be original, I have to admit that they're not going to laziest route they could with how they're handling these tracks and that's at least a little comforting.

At the same time, the character roster, the fact that the tracks are still mostly reused assets of each other from stages we've seen plenty of already, and the fact that we're being shown so little just give off that vibe of the content not being substantial enough to warrant showing us a lot of gameplay. Hell, we still haven't seen a thing from the story outside of a random magazine scan.

The game is priced the same as Forces was too.

It's a little concerning. Not as anger inducing as it was before but I can't help but want more from Sumo, even though I know the team working on this game is new.

It would cool if you could also customize the characters themselves.

I would love to drive as the Werehog in this Zone.

Team Sonic Racing is coming for Album of the Year - and the game's okay, too!

I jumped for a moment when I thought they brought Mystic Mansion back, but a Horror-themed Rooftop Run is a really fun twist I didn't know I wanted, and I'll gladly take it. The track selection is shaping up to be a lot more diverse than expected, even with Seaside Hill, Casino Park and probably Final Fortress returning. I wonder if some Dark Gaia monsters will show up, too.

At this point I don't worry about the lack of footage anymore. The gameplay looks really decent now and they should absolutely empathize on it more, but we still have the Game Mode Spotlight coming up as well as the Launch Trailer, and the release itself is not that far away. I wouldn't compare this to Forces because while the lack of gameplay is a weird marketing decision here, it was a way to hide an extremely bland experience then.

I don't compare it to Forces to say the game will be as bland or as uninspired as it was. I'm just a little troubled by how similar the marketing tactics are here and how similar the level structure of the game is. They're handling it better here, of course. I'm grateful for that. There's definitely a lot more about this game that I feel we can appreciate and love in comparison.  I can't get over how beautiful an idea it is to turn Rooftop Run into a Haunted level. I'm actually kind of jealous that I didn't come up with an idea that cool.

I like that there is an actual attempt to transform some of these old stages we've seen before. They didn't just throw some sand in Green Hill and call it a day at least.

I really hope they add more characters to the roster with the delay. It's one of the main criticisms.

Haunted Rooftop Run? It'd be cool if they added the ghosts from Night of the Werehog in the background like Mother Wisp is on Planet Wisp.

Anyway, I don't know what to think about this game yet.

I'm not hyped nor particularly interested... I'm just curious so far.

I like the twist applied to the track themes and I wish they did this in a main Sonic game instead of a spin-off.

The supposed amount of tracks is also decent, at least (could have been even more, but since each track is completely different regardless of being part of the same zone, there's still a lot of variety).

It's just the character selection that's disappointing IMO. Put all the Chaotix in a team, make Silver a Power Type and put Cream with Blaze (it would even make sense due to Sonic Rush's story), and it would have been perfect.

So far, my favorite team is Team Vector, because I like Blaze as a character, I like Silver's car, and because I'm not a fan of using the protagonists, I don't care much of Team Rose especially after they removed Cream, I don't like both Metal Sonic and Zavok, and I don't want to be the edgelord team.

So, if I'll ever get the game, I'll definitely go Team Vector all the way.

I hope they will do a DLC pack and add Cream, Charmy, Espio, Orbot&Cubot, Infinite and maybe Chaos... or... my dream would be Gmerl but it will probably never happen.

I wouldn't be against a "Team Classic" with C.Sonic, Mighty and Ray, but I would prefer if they first put the missing characters of the regular cast in, somehow.
