Ah, so he got a job at the same place Mighty and that Woodpecker no one remembers hang out.

Neat.

But what was that about him being in tact?

In the Egg Reverie Zone, Classic smashed the Phantom King, But the others were not finished off, and were presumably in the blast radius of the Titanic Monarch. I find it hard to believe that Phantom King wasn’t obliterated when caught in the blast radius of the Titanic Monarch with the others.

Oh yeah, that was in the original Mania.

I think.

New Team Sonic Racing ost released called Ocean View.

Now to me this looks like the exact track layout from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

One track from the original All-Stars Racing, and one from Racing Transformed. The only other game to lift something from is Sonic R, surely? Or is there going to be a new track for Seaside Hill?

That's a cool remix album Jun Senoue is composing!

...what do you mean it's an OST for a video game.

On a serious note, it's cool that we're getting music tracks and it's pretty nice to have some Transformed rep (I actually didn't expect a track from that game because of the lack of transforming), but even I'm getting kinda tired of there being a remix every 2-4 weeks without any gameplay. Sure, the game is coming in 5 months, but knowing how SEGA love doing their marketing lately, we probably won't get any gameplay footage till, like, end of March or even April (2 months or so before release), which is just frustrating. We've seen 3 tracks in action total.

At least we're getting tracks announced this way, that's cool I guess...

I don't mind bring back old tracks from previous racing games, Mario Kart does it all the time. Perhaps sprucing up the ASRT original or not choosing Seaside Hill yet again would have been better but whatever. I for one would loved to see Thunder Arsenal make a return or a Egg Fleet inspired track.

Great music as ever but yay this all but confirms three of the game's tracks will be Seaside Hill agaaaaaaaaaaaaaainnnnnnnnnnnnn

(To be fair though we know it can't be a carbon-copy because the cars don't transform in TSR, and Ocean View contains boat sections). EDIT: Forgot that the first lap is entirely on land.

I mean it would be very very cool if the third track to complete the "throwback zone" was something from Sonic R (presumebly Resort Island to keep the theming going) but on the flipside that inconsistency would kinda bug me too lol.  Though I guess there's nothing that canonically suggests Resort Island couldn't be a part of whatever archipelago makes up the overall location known as "Seaside Hill".

I’ve always hated that toot toot sonic warrior song but God dang if that didn’t sound good in that remix.

Music continues to be on point.

As much as people would hate it, might we also be seeing Sanctuary Falls, Galactic Parade, and a track from Casino Park return? Possibly even a Final Fortress track [though this seems the least likely of the lot to return]?

So far, we have Coastal, Desert, Urban, Winter, and either Forest or Industrial [Wisp Circuit falls under both, but my understanding is there being a central theme to the zones]. If Boo's House and Sand Road split, that adds either the ancient ruins or haunted theme to the pool. My betting would be on ancient ruins as its more diverse a theming. Just as I'd settle for industrial for Wisp Circuit for the same reason. Add in space for the final theme [as it's very likely to happen], and that's seven.

I'd be totally cool with Seaside Hill, Casino Park, and Final Fortress returning... if they felt like legacy tracks and there was a ton more coming along that more than made up for it. Like, if there were at least 30 or even 20 unique racks to race on.

Also, if they put in Hang Castle.

At the moment, there's too little for me to be 100% okay with seeing places I feel I've seen recently come back yet again, I guess. Especially not three versions of the same ones.

Music is great as expected, and I doubt this will change. It elevates the fact that I no longer look forward to something else besides the track list, therefore, I am disappointed... 😕

Not the best version of YCDA; I prefer the ASRT rendition. It's not bad though. But what is bad is a second reused Seaside Hill game. This game looks solid and decent, but it also kind of sucks. Why is it so light on content?

And when are SEGA actually going to show the game off? Music is great, but I'd much rather be hearing unclear tracks over gameplay footage. Just show us the bloody game.

I miss The Spindash.

Transformed's track design was amazing, and even without the boat section Ocean View is easily more interesting than what we've seen of TSR's original tracks. I hope they'll at least tie the Egg Kraken into the race somehow.

Seaside Hill being its own zone however means there will be a third track, new or recycled, and that at LEAST the trio of Casino Park or Final Fortress will come back as well, making for the full stage selection and showing just how low-budget this project is. The Eggman zone pretty much has to be Final Fortress at this point, tied to Death Egg and maybe a returning Starlight Carnival if we're lucky. Let's pray the missing zone is not triple Casino Park, or they at least use its assets for an amusement theme including Twinkle Park.

Again... The Music is fine like always. But... jeez... show us some gameplay for once... it seems like they have really nothing to show off. Imagine if this came would have came out in December 2018 like it was planned to be.

I suspect that the delay is the very reason why we haven't seen any more gameplay footage; it's put their marketing schedule off-kilter and they're filling time with music reveals (which are at least proving popular).

I don't think I've seen a recent Sonic game with less interest than this, mainly due to marketing, even the E3 trailer doesn't have as many views as Forces and Mania videos, it's a spin-off, I know, Mario & Sonic series has been getting the same lack of hype. Though I'm gonna say that they really showed little of the game, the E3 trailer is mostly music and CGI, if they did a trailer like Crash, that shows a lot of stuff, that could create more interest perhaps.

Not bad, but I still prefer  the 'Brand New World' remix from the 'Sonic the Hedgehog - Remix' album.

To be fair, with a remake like Crash there is less pressure to keep some of the "cooler stuff" underwraps.  People want to see how a bunch of the game has changed from the off, whereas with a new title, you don't want to reveal literally every single course or environment before release.  I expect they want to keep at least one or two of the "zones" hidden before launch (though granted, Forces revealed all 7 environments before launch so maybe not).

Having said that, would be nice to see some gameplay footage at least of the tracks they've revealed through music uploads.

And the funniest part is that many still believed it couldn't be just that. Ok this isn't funny.

I'm going by the "what you see is what you get", I wouldn't be surprised if we already seen every trope and the rest of the tracks are more variations of Planet Wisp, Cool Edge, Rooftop Run, Sandopolis/Death Chamber and Seaside Hill. I mean c'mon. Sand Hill = they took the assets from Lost World's Desert Ruin, remixed Adventure's Sand Hill and called a day. That looks nothing like the Sand Hill. At the very least we're getting cool remixes and fake names. I imagine another track based on Cool Edge might get a remix of another ice zone from the past, even if the graphics don't ressemble the zone itself all that much. The Rooftop Run "road in the sky" track seen in the trailer could use a remix of Sonic Rush's "Altitude Limit" or Sonic Unleashed's "Tornado to Spagonia" for example.

I'm holding my breath for an Ice Cap Zone remix tho'.

The only big things that might get my attention for this game are the story and maybe the last mysterious character that Sega makes such a big deal about it. With the last remaining zone themes... I'm not sure... we already have urban/sky theme with Rooftop Run, an ocean theme with Seaside Hill, a desert/haunted theme with Sandolopis, an ice theme with Cool Edge and with Planet Whip we have a nature/forest theme.

The two most likely ones are casino theme and a space theme. My guesses would be Casino Park from Sonic Heroes and Death Egg.

That version of YCDA is great, mostly because it has the Richard Jacques vibe. Probably the best thing he's done in ages, he's been pretty shaky over the last 5 years or so.

But the game doesn't look great so far, but maybe it'll look better after some polish?

I'm 90% sure it's been confirmed that we're getting 7 "zones" with 3 tracks each, but the only tracks we've seen more than one track from is Sandopolis and Seaside Hill.  It's still a bit up in the air as to how much variety there'll be in the tracks, but the assumption is that there will be significant asset re-use between them all - however the MUSIC for said tracks will remix various themes from that "genre" of zone.  Sand Hill may be the remix of choice, but the name of the TRACK is Sand Road, remember, and like Boo's House, it is set in the same zone - which is either Sandopolis or just a generic desert location.  Think of the soundtrack in the same way as how Windy Valley Act 3 used Green Grove's music in Sonic Adventure - it's just music.  Windy Valley Act 3 is not meant to be Green Grove, likewise, Sand Road in TSR is not meant to be Sand Hill.
