I was replying to your statement that Sonic Team doesn't have good enough writers. Maybe if they hired writers with actual talent, we'd have better non-Eggman villains.

I mean by all accounts Pontac and Graff were Sonic Team's actual effort to care and curate the writing of the series towards their intended demographic. They actually reached out to hire them while, iirc, the rest of the series' script writers were internal and already working on other areas of the games in some way.

Just turns out that... demographic wasn't exactly what people were hoping they'd aim for...

So it seems I was right, Mighty, Ray, the Hooligans and the Hard Boiled Heavies are exclusive to the Classic World! This opens up a lot of doors for potential storylines, and cool differences between the 2 continuities. Interesting...
