How would you fix Sonic's lore, gameplay, narrative, and characters?

Lore: the lore of sonic is told across the gameplay: a magical world called mobius is filled with mystical islands and powerful crystals and natives. It doesn't stop at islands though, continents with more futuristic cities, peaceful citizens, Efficient military, native villages and wonderful monuments to get a child's (and even adults) mind racing with wonder and mysteries. the way it tells that lore seamlessly and effectively, that's the kind of lore that sonic has been missing for too long

Gameplay: well... if you've seen me in comments you should know how I'd want gameplay to be like: physics, momentum, . sonic loses speed going up hill, and gains speed going downhill. his jump if effected by terrain, and so is his roll. mechanics must complement and compensate for his speed. moves like the drop dash, the S.M homing attack, Wall Run, swimming mechanic that can be cancelled by touching the ground, and the list can go on forever if we use our imagination. oh and the level design needs to focus on these tree tenants: Speed, Platforming, and Exploring. the best examples are sonic 1, and sonic 3. green hill zone is a perfect level that emphasizes on all 3 tenants. you can speed through the levels, platforming to reach higher paths, or just explore the entire level to your hearts content. if your skilled with the physics enough, you can use speed to platform while exploring, explore by using speed in order to platform, or platform to explore. "mix n' match your way to play sonic that feels right for you" is how sonic always was back then, and surprise, surprise that mentality is perfected in sonic 3&k, green hill zone structure has been taken to it's extreme all across the zones, now with different routes for different characters like knuckles and tails. I guess that's it for the gameplay

Narrative: the world of these sonic games should be grounded, just because it's a blue hedgehog, doesn't mean the world can't make sense, its basically the opposite of Mario. the world is, again, magical and mystical, full of mystery and wonder. but at the end of the day, the world needs rules to stay cohesive. the ideal tone of sonic is neutrality, meaning that these stories aren't specifically light or dark. the story is told simply, yet is compelling enough to drag the player into sonics world and it's beauty, like sonic 3, and sonic adventure.

Characters:

Sonic - Cocky, Impatient and Headstrong, yet Compassionate and laid-back. Cares for his Friends and is always up for adventure. his ego may show through at times, but he knows when to let off if the going gets tough.

Tails - A Humble and kind two-tailed fox who is an expert pilot and aerospace mechanic. He's not as confident and headstrong as sonic, but his earnest nature make up for it.

Knuckles - a Calm, Introverted and Compassionate person, guardian of the master emerald. he takes his job very seriously, and is quick to react when a stranger comes near his island. Banters with sonic when he and him meet.

Amy - A Mature and independent young girl, who is polite to those she loves. she uses her hammer when she's in danger, but her most powerful weapon is her words. loves to be with sonic side and banters with sonic while on missions.

Cream & Cheese - a nice younger girl, who's been taught by her mother to be sweet and polite to everyone she meets. Cheese is Creams obedient pet and care taker, who stays by her side at all times. Cream helped blaze be more extroverted and open to others. speaking of which

Blaze - a Strong and Powerful princess of the sol dimension, she's independent, but will ask for help when she really needs it. she first opened up to Cream, and became friends with sonic at the end of sonic rush. she and silver are the best of friends however.

Silver - an Optimistic and Naïve Hedgehog, who has the best intentions, but is quite gullible and stubborn. When he realizes the truth, he'll immediately switch and help the ones he hurt.

Shadow - An introverted, Smug and Independent....hero? anti-hero? Villain? whatever he's a neutral character, who cares for people, but doesn't know how to show it. his best friends are rouge and omega, always going on adventures. he has respect and admiration for sonic and all his worth, and likes to rival him.

Rouge -  A Greedy and Sassy Treasure hunter, worked for the president for the jewels, which no matter how she tries, cant get enough of. She is the leader of team dark wanting to help shadow and omega work together. she and knuckles have a nice relationship, her emotions clash with his reasons.

Omega - A Sentient, Murderous robot free of Robotniks control. wanting nothing more than to see his creators eventual demise. he is just as humane as the rest of the characters though, caring for his friends shadow and rouge.

Dr. Robotnik - The comical, menacing, egotistical egg-shaped man (nicknamed Eggman) who will to anything to rule the world and all of it's habitants: Destroying nature, Taking over islands, Flooding cities, Blowing up the moon, Kidnapping alien planets, and destroying space and time as we know it. he puts his face on everything Eggman Empire. despite this, he's a very comical villain, when he gets angry, oh boy is it a wonder!

I thought of an idea I had in my head a while - what if we name new locations and lore into the already existing Sonic World Map and start world-building from there. Like for example, Glacierland in Team Sonic Racing, in appearance looks as though it could be in an unnamed part of Holoska, bar the volcano elements. But it's never specifically mentioned in the game.

The southern regions of Yurashia (Adabat area) and some of Soumerca (Glyphic Canyon continent) could be filled up if it's necessary. Have some indigenous mobians akin to that of the tribes of real-world South America and Southeast Asia and give them some character.

By the way, I assume that the Mobian U.Z.A is Soumerca in game universe and the region around Adabat is actually southern Yurashia above Chun-nan.
