Yeah, that's the thing. Most bad games aren't directly subsidized by the public. MN9 is literally the result of the gamers, because had they not paid for it, it wouldn't exist. They should be ashamed. =P

I guess they really have confidence in the next products in Sonic's lineup. After what happened between 2000/2007-2014 I'd play it safe joking about other franchises insuccesses. I mean, yeah, the situation really sucks for MN9 backers right now, but the last Sonic game was just a little better than that, I know it crashed my Wii U a couple of times, and Sonic Runners was not perfect either...

MN9 backers and people in general trying to play "but what about" literally have no high ground to stand on. Money was directly taken from the public to subsidize the first iteration in a supposed mass-media franchise that couldn't even pass Microsoft's certification standards to be sold on their consoles and is shutting down Wii U's. Sonic at least passed the basic sniff test in the 90s without ripping the public off with false promises and a game that has been considered by a large mogul to actually be worse than RoL and 06 considering they won't even sell it. It's not about releasing perfect games all the time. It's about crashing and burning out of the gate after effectively stealing money from people.

Yeah, because crashing my Wii U is better than a relatively average beat 'em up. I know there's not a lot of ground for someone sticking up for Rise of Lyric, but MN9 has even less.

Sonic had gone off its rocker and has yet to get back on. There's not a lot of games in the last 15 years to be proud of as Sonic fans.
