I like how Sega congratulates with the author instead of sending their C&Ds and lawyers like some other companies do (I know it's rare with fan arts, they usually do it with fangames, but still, Sega published it on their official twitter).

Did...did they actually bring in Yuji Uekawa to design a fan character? Because how COOL would it be to be able to say that the official character designer of the Sonic series drew your fan character?

If you go to the Twitter thread, Mike Pollock also posted some audio of Eggman speaking in an Irish accent.

Highly doubt those models are official, they don't look quite 1:1 to me. They're very good mind you. Kind of like how Nibroc's models are distinct from Marza's
