High Quality and Never-Before-Seen Sonic 2 sprites and concept art

Tom Payne provided a set of never-before-seen sprite graphics from the development of Sonic 2.

 

These include several enemies from the concept artwork, as well as a few never-before-seen enemies. There are also art from unmade STI games, hi-res development documents, and even some unused stuff from Sonic 1, provided as an artistic reference. These disks are in fact still being investigated for even more treasures.

Nice. I always enjoy seeing concept art. It makes me appreciate the final products even more and there are nice bits of nostalgia to go with them.
