Heh, yeah, I was aware of the original music piece (as well as the others that AoStH mashed together for its theme). Just thought it was cool how they used it instead of a "soundalike" Sonic theme from the classic games.

Is it me or does the music at the beginning sound like Star Light Zone?

And apparently, the music when Tails appears is Azure Blue World from SA1.

Yeah, never heard of OK KO either. Is it popular/good ratings? Regardless whether it is or not, a Sonic & Tails cameo in another animated series is pretty cool and I appreciate all the references. Hopefully there will be many more when the full episode airs.

I'm not extremely fond of OK KO.  It's an okay show, but it never hit the right chords with me for whatever reason.  There's a lot of love and care put into this, though.  Very cute.  A lot of neat references.

Plus, it now confirms my secret headcanon that Sonic the Hedgehog and Captain Planet exist in the same universe.  They tried to silence me, but I knew the truth.

I like how he breaks into random Sonic poses coincidentally right before Sonic shows up in the flesh.

He does the foot tapping animation immediately after.

I like this show. Its very cute.

Sonic needs more animation in his life. He should take as much of it as he can get.

Ghoul School was Hannah Barbera.

Wait, what?

As in Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School?

Out of all the things I expected in a crossover with a modern day CN show, I sure as hell didn't expect that.

Yeah, that was an interesting episode

It even switched to the original animation style at one point

That's actually insanely cool, especially given they only appeared in one product near decades ago.

It also means KO takes place in the same universe as Scooby Doo :v

They did the same thing with the Captain Planet Episode, which ended with a PSA

Criminy, I need to get to that episode at some point.

Also, I'm sure this has been asked before, but how old is most of the Ghouls supposed to be?

Oh yeah, that was definitely one of the ones I saw on air!

Oops, I forgot to say old.

And yeah, that was one of the earlier ones.

In fact, I wanna say the Cloud expy is actually a resident of the Plaza to begin with.

I wouldn’t look into it that deep. Non-canon crossovers happen tons, and given the nature of OK KO, you may as well canonize damn near anything it touches to the lore of the guest franchise lol

No words can properly convey my feelings on this most prestigious moment of animation history.

Oh God. I'm talking like an old grandpa.

I love me some cartoons man.

"You never know what kind of unexpected hero might 3D Blast through our doors!"

No matter how this cross over turns out, that will objectively be the worst part of it.

OK K.O. is such a great show!

I rarely get interested in modern CN shows, but K.O. is a love letter to gamers, animation lovers, 90s kids, etc. Highly recommend for those who haven't watched it!

Also I was probably just hearing things, but Sonic's grunt after he lands reminded me of when you select Super Sonic in SA1. Could it be possible for Mr. Drummond to return even for this one ep?? Probably not, but stranger things have happened...

Ian Jones-Quartey is a biiiiig Sonic fan. He mourned the loss of Archie Sonic, follows a lot of people associated with Sonic, he worked on the opening to Sonic Mania, and this is not OK KO’s first reference to Sonic, and more. The OK KO crew have also said that they are all Sonic fans, so this is a dream come true for the show.

You get evidence of all of that and more in just that clip. Like, the pure unadulterated love for Sonic shines through here. This isn’t some corporate crossover, but very clearly a labour of love that SEGA granted.

Kinda. That was the creator’s web comic; RPG World. You can find it if you look. There’s also a fan continuation of it as well since the original never finished.

So is no one gonna point out how Sonic just basically yeeted two kids (who also seem to be fans of him) up into the air when making his entrance?
