A SURVEY ON WHERE SONIC FANS ARE IN 2020

Hey, y'all! \Lennox here, and hot DAMN, I haven't visited this website in almost TWO YEARS.

I know that this board isn't active as it used to be, but there seems to be no mention of there being any active Sonic message boards that aren't Retro. That being, I need some help with gathering respondents for another survey, but this one's much more serious and forward looking as it attempts to determine where we as Sonic fans are right now pre-movie and where we will go from here. This survey will help me with my grad school application, but I feel like it will be even more helpful for people who were Sonic fans at some point in their life, if not the general gaming public.

Was trying to partake but the document suddenly reset on me while I was barely half way in. I appreciate the attempts to gather information but after spending nearly an hour on it up to that point and not really having a lot of personal time any more I'm afraid I'll elect to not partake at this point. I doubt my stance would be of much value anyway due to how massively different is any way and I feel a lot of the early questions were kind of curtailing my experiences to fit a mold rather than reflecting my experiences. Most notable the spin off and cartoon questions as the only Sonic Animations I've enjoyed are the Sonic Mania Adventure shorts the Japanese language version of the OVA. Unfortunately the question and others on that page homogenized my experiences with the whole of Sonic media making my answers feel dishonest and unrepresentative.

Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but for now at least I'm going to step back and leave this survey to others. Sorry for the negative response to it and I hope that it fulfills the purposes you intend it to OP.

I tried to give my input in this survey, however my lack of any Sonic merchandise and games ended up stopping me from finishing. The survey quickly shifted to assume that I actually played any of the games, even though I didn’t.

I can’t fully finish this survey due to this, and will let other users answer it.
