Yeah. Here it is. Updates will come.

This Fanfic happens about 4 months after the events of Sonic Unleashed.

WARNING: This Fic is rated 14A for swearing, graphic violence, gore and some mild sexual behaviour.

Chapter 1

It was uncommonly cold for a July night. The wind had howled, the earth seemed to shake at one point, and many people could have sworn they had seen lightning crackle in the sky.

Then the commotion ended, seemingly before it had really begun, and the people returned to their lives, talking about it in whispers before forgetting about it altogether.

However, that was one hectic night for a particular blue hedgehog, and oddly enough, he wouldn’t remember most of it either…

A lone figure ran on a lit street, occasionally glancing behind herself before continuing. Anyone who had happened to observe the figure would have noticed a silvery-grey cat-looking female with dark hair flying everywhere in the wind. The figure moved quickly, almost frantically, as she grabbed a rail and jumped, using it to jump onto a higher ledge.

After going a bit further, the figure seemed to relax, and slowed down, soon coming to a stop to examine her surroundings. The moon’s pale light and the brighter streetlights allowed whoever was watching to notice the figure’s eyes. They were bright silver, and seemed to draw your attention towards them, making you forget all else…

The wind began picking up. The figure suddenly became tense and rushed to the rail. Under her, bright lights began appearing, seemingly coming from the ground. The figure watched as odd roundish creatures appeared and bounced around.

The figure knew she would have to act fast. She had put a boot on the rail and was about to jump down when a bright blue aura shone around the creatures. The figure stopped and said “Damn”, before taking her foot off the rail and slowly backing away.

The nearest creature sniffed. The figure froze. It sniffed again, but then turned away.

Maybe it didn’t notice…

The figure’s hopes were shattered when the creature squeaked to its companions. In a symphony of squeaks, the creatures all jumped around, then, like bouncy balls, they all jumped over the rail and ledge. The figure ran, hoping to lose the creatures. She knew they wouldn’t stay alone for long, now that they had found her. The creatures, however, moved very quickly, and soon they had the figure surrounded.

The figure evaluated her options. Fighting seemed to be the only solution. Her eyes flashed and her gloved hands became alight with a purple glow. She faced her opponents, waiting for the merest excuse to attack. The creatures, though, didn’t attack. They opened their hideous mouths and began shrieking. The figure covered her ears.

The bright lights lit up the ground again. The figure stepped back, disconcerted, and watched as seemingly hundreds of creatures appeared from the lights, all having a blue aura.

“Shit.” The figure cursed.

As skilled as she was, she couldn’t fight an entire armada equipped with Isolde auras all by herself. She subconsciously grabbed the purple stone hanging from her sash-like belt. It seemed she had no choice but to use it. The figure unclipped the stone.

Whispering “Lunar Curse”, she threw the stone to the ground. It shattered on impact in a flash of purple, misty light, which stunned the creatures. The shards immediately flew away, briefly turning emerald green before returning to their purple colour.

The figure laughed nervously.

“Come soon, whoever you are, or they’ll be nothing left to kill.”

Then, grabbing her dagger, she slashed at the closest enemy.

Chapter 2

“Two jalapeno chilidogs, please.” The hotdog vendor turned and faced his customer, a smile immediately coming onto his face.

“Well, if it isn’t my best customer, Sonic. How’s it going?”

The blue hedgehog gave the vendor a quick smile.

“Everything’s going fine.” He said. “Got a big night ahead of me.”

The vendor, knowing of some of Sonic’s adventures, asked:

“That Eggman character up to no good again?”

Sonic smiled again.

“Not exactly.”

After paying for his chilidogs, Sonic set out at a nice, calm pace of 300 km/h.

For about a month, Amy Rose had taken every chance she could get to attack Sonic after he had missed their date. He tried to explain that he had been summoned to Camelot by Merlina the Wizard, and that it wasn’t his fault that he had been summoned at that specific moment, but Amy hadn’t believed that he had been summoned to Camelot at all and took his absence rather badly. Normally, Sonic would just ride it out and hope Amy’s temper would die down, but it had been a month, and Sonic didn’t really need to worry about being attacked by a giant hammer every second of the day.

So, Sonic had decided to set up a date in Spagonia, hoping that this would appease Amy.

Currently, however, he was in Apotos, admiring the twilight view off of the water. Sonic checked his watch. He had about an hour, which was plenty of time.

After a bit of sightseeing, Sonic suddenly noticed something purple shining in the sky. Curious, he stopped and moved closer to the edge of the cliff he was on to get a better view. The lights seemed to be moving towards him. Sonic squinted to get a better view of the lights, trying to make out what exactly they were. Something told him to run, but he couldn’t, engrossed in the lights.

The lights were now almost at Sonic. Seeing what they were, tiny pieces of glass or crystal, snapped him out of his trance. He took a step back, turned, and ran.

However, Sonic had waited for too long. The shards caught up to him in a few seconds and enveloped the hedgehog in a haze caused by the multiple pinpoints of light.

A blinding flash occurred, and Sonic gasped in pain, but the ordeal was nowhere near over. A shard seemed to go into a frenzy, and pierced him through the back. Sonic screamed. He could have sworn the shard entered his heart. The rest of the shards followed suit, slashing and stabbing the hedgehog. Each and every one of the stabs created an indescribable pain, to the point where Sonic couldn’t remember what life had been without it.

Pain was the only feeling that existed at that moment. The only thought. Sonic could no longer move, only watch as the shards went deeper and deeper, as more and more blood leaked onto the pavement below.

Suddenly, electricity shot through Sonic’s veins. He screamed, his tortured cry echoing along the empty streets.

Just end. He thought. No more, just end…

Then the current felt almost interrupted, the purple glow faded, and Sonic hit the pavement. He was barely conscious, and could feel himself slipping away… He couldn’t fight the darkness creating spots in his vision, he was too weak… What was left of his eyelids drooped, bringing the oblivion.

A beast paced around a massive fresh bloodstain. Its dark-blue fur stood on edge, as if it had suffered recently, but no wounds were present on it. It sniffed the air, its iridescent, almost glowing, emerald green eyes narrowing.

The beast mournfully howled at the moon, then dashed off into the street, only one thought in mind.

A catlike figure with silver eyes.
