Awoo.

In case you missed it; there is now a Sonic Adventure reference in Batman.

With as much as this one has been making the rounds on social media, I would have assumed it would have gotten a plug on the site's newsfeed by now.  However, so far as I can tell it hasn't even been noted in these forums. Let's fix that.  I think there's no way that's an accident.  I'm not saying it was done by the artist as an in-joke because Jim Carrey played The Riddler in a Batman movie and then went on to play Robotnik in a Sonic movie, but that design is entirely too much like the Casinopolis facade to be an accident.  Especially given the hint monitor is there.

You can clearly see all the 2000's kids growing up with all these new Sonic Adventure references popping up.

I don’t read the comic but I’ve seen it.

If Batman can meet the Ninja Turtles and Scooby Doo he can meet Sonic.

Make it happen Sega and DC.

I've mostly seen more general talk about it as a series people grew up with. But in terms of actual references, apparently "OK K.O." is absolutely full of them. I think I watched a compilation of the references before, and it's actually referenced to an obnoxious point lol. Not to mention just y'know, literally having a sonic crossover at some point.

Edit: Having trouble finding it, but I swear it was this show that had a very, very unsubtle reference to Sonic Adventure when they showed box art of a game called "Ferret Adventure" or something similar, complete with a minute long parody of the general plot of a Sonic game. Maybe it was a similar show, they kinda all look the same nowadays.

Slide the Ferret. Obvious sonic expy. Fun little tribute if your into that kinda thing.

Its a videogame franchise that the main characters of the show "creg of the creek" are into. I think it pops up more than once if I'm not mistaken.

In context of this, I'd say it's more of a Sonic homage than an adventure homage, but you can take that both ways.

Yeah, I think it may be that show that has a ton of sonic references. Not sure where I'm getting the idea that Sonic Adventure is being referenced a lot, but it just feels like even outside of Sonic fan communities it's just being talked about a lot again.
