Hmm, it can simply mean that the Dr. part is not important. It might always have been like that in the internal notes, but you'll never know lol.

Forgot that I had February's Bumblekast ready for a few days now

Spoiler

February 1

Why wasn't New252 in Genesis world
It was scorched earth policy
Certain parties could use the thinnest strand of connections
Genesis happened middle of old continuity story, therefore it counted as part of continuity
May be wondering how they are related and it might've been safe as own thing
But that blanket policy at time might've been best because minute start making nuances starts opening doors that might be blundered through

What Badnik would have
Like Motobug
It's Goomba of Sonic, but Its round cute with wheel and claws allowing it to feed & clean after cat, go to grocery store and back
(Kyle says Cluck, though don't know which one
Splats might be too rambunctious, but fun
Alligator from Dust Hill, just head
Definitely not Scorp,) could burn in hell
Eggrobos might be useful with thumbs, but body may create difficulty walking down anything besides hotel hallway
(Balletstuffing bot from Boom)
Mainly for utility since none are really cuddly
(Kyle then muses over Orbit, Cubot, and Swatbots)

Any reason populations were listed in hundreds and thousands
Trying to make logistic sense of individual populations at time
That Finitevus comment was after Dingo ravaging and after Eggman paved Albion
Didn't think there were enough left for functioning society
Last second editorial stopgap story where single villain tricks group with a Warp Ring wouldn't be practical to say millions
Knothole was supposed to be refugee from one Robotnik taken city so it didn't make sense to have too many there
Granted, Knothole did get bit bigger when expanded over year, but Eggman needed to reasonably teleport them

Was Eggman's bouts of returning insanity Preboot something worth paying attention to
There was some consequence to his breakdown
Going between functional and nonfunctional in seconds
Occasionally slip shows that he's still mad and cracked, but back in control and recovering

Missed Opportunities from Shadow(Several questions in one and this is only half of them)
The ideal seemed to be that Black Doom wanted to teleport the Black Comet to Earth's surface for easier conquest so maybe glyphic canyon was early idea
Comets time in Earth's orbit wasn't made clear
Perhaps it was built over week of one rotation and finished 50 years later
Wasn't very well explained
They wanted to eat humans because they're evil alien trope
(Perhaps rabbits wee too small)
Rationale from Nextwave is that humans retain flavor of what they eat, have bones, and are largely water
So tasty, crunchy, and thirst quenching snack
No one could tell Shadow who he was because no one really knew
The only person with answers was Eggman, who would only be revealed to have caught him if the line drops during the final boss and wouldn't tell because jerk
That's why he went on journey to find out, only to come to resolution that he doesn't care and will go his own way

What illness does Starline have and does he still have it
It was joke
He overworked himself and got ill because of it, which is what happens
Starline is fine, at least physically

Favorite Wakfu villain
If haven't watched, it's on at least Canadian Netflix
Stick with subtitles and stay away from atrocious Dub
Nox is favorite for being most tragic of the three
Everything he did was with twisted good intention
Utter defeat when he realized it was for naught was shattering
Quilby is good too especially since he plays 5D chess against every faction
But can't feel quite as much due to somehow being more selfish
Part of it is because Nox goal is personal and finite ends justify means to undo damage, while Quilby is a repetant monster who doesn't care
His heel turn transformation is spooky and that arm
Feel should like Oropo more because love duality angle of what if hero was villain trope
But feel origin and motivation are so convoluted and muddy that still not quite sure what it was
For all the buildup lacked focus and ending of that arc felt rushed and muddled
Didn't have as much oomph as Nox Quilby or even Ogreste

Thoughts on telling a comic with no dialogue
Really want to
Marvel did gimmick month called Nuff Said
Some worked better than others, with X-Men having Jean Grey explain what was happening at the end
If there was plan that loses an issue to the gimmick, then probably would have to deal with that wrench
It would be neat but incredibly challenging due to having to really entirely in artwork
Artist would have to be in synch enough to render the conveyed vision, which will never be one to one every time
Good comic needs to be largely visual, but a silent needs to show all ideas
Wouldn't be able to include all nuances and details
There was opportunity for fun challenge that can't talk about just yet where tried to lit h that and was told not to for specific reasons
Many think a scriptwriter just comes up with the dialogue and the artist makes up the rest, but personally view it as making blueprints for the art team to follow
Panel, layout, camera, characters, actions, emotions, dialogue,
Every panel is a camera shot, but can't do too much detail because artist don't have to wing it because they are very busy
Less composition means less to do
Criticism that just a fight scene frustrates because of how long each step takes
Some things work better in head than on page

Chances of Captain Whisker appearing in IDW
Don't see why not
No immediate plans but assume he's on the table
Need good excuse to go back to Blaze's world anyway

How integrate Sticks in IDW cast
Gonna have to dodge since still on agenda and could spoil
Reliant on Sega, who already beat out the one idea
If she is added, wouldn't want her to replace anyone
Her dynamic with Amy is very very different from Cream's

Series that would love to get into but don't have time
Dune at some point since tent pole sci-fi series
There are tons of Wakfu reading materials and games that barely touched
To do list has gotten so long
(Breaking Bad, Wakfu)

Does Other M draw image of Metroid crossed with Underground baby gif
Did interview for retrospective series
Interviewer was big fan of Other M and printed out pages
Can't totally hate series because some people genuinely like it and was an impressive production
But it's bad try hard teenage angst
It's embarrassing experimental thing

How are Power Cores made
Imagine they are easy to produce given they are in random robots instead of boss robots
Seem to be stand ing for animals

Any cool to geek out about with MegaMan
Aside from really wanting to do MegaMan 4, also wanted to do X4
Diving into schism between Hunter and Repliforce, how Sigma turned them against each other, frustration of egos would have been so much to play with
Probably would've garnered fan ire because everyone loves Iris, but they forget that she was a racist who feared and hated humans
Would've liked investigating that, how Zero felt about it, how it affects her work, and how she came to have those feelings
X4 had so much meat to it, enough to be year long rather than single arc
Get into Repliforce, hierarchy, how society react to new police force, Reploids were gonna act outside force not unlike Maverick behavior
So much fun to be had and didn't even get to X1
One thing that happy to sneak in final issue timeline up through Legends and Elf Wars,
Dr. Light as an elf in particular
(Kyle gushes about how Worlds Collide was a perfect crossover
Muses how the games don't do that much with the story aside from the not very Canon Command X
Janky canon is another thing they have in common--Sonic just doesn't care, while MegaMan tries to care and makes things worse
Like how comics were able to go into more detail)

Can Sonic officially breathe in space
Not that aware of
The games evidently say apparently, unless some have artificial atmosphere

Sonic Boom and Miraculous Ladybug crossover, is Shadow too powerful to be akumatized
Cynically, they probably wouldn't allow Shadow to be akumatized
Would imagine Ladybug would be driven to the brink because everyone would be on same pun level as Chat Noir and almost all would be akumatized given how volatile their emotions are even if only comedically
Knuckles would probably drop drink, see cloud, get sun in eyes, but realize it's a pretty day regardless, causing Hawkmoth to fume
Sticks would lose it trying to explain to everyone

How would Sonic be different had it gotten it's Popful Mail localization Sonic Bros
Watched long play trying to see how it might've been done
Probably too much backwards logic, but some elements could be retooled into Sonic, Tails, and other mechanics
At the time, they likely wouldn't have been faithful to series and fall to wayside like SegaSonic Arcade that would be unloved until a Renaissance nowadays
Oh look, it's whatever Sister Sonic would be hopefully be named
On one hand, would've been neat to see what could've been mined from it like the material for Bean and Bark for a full rpg

What interesting not seen before pairings would want to seeing future
Knuckles and Silver in prequel comic were kinda fun
Don't have specific arcs
Take any character that isn't usually seen with another and see where it goes
Such large cast of distinct personalities
(Kyle mentions Amy and Knuckles)
Put Cream amongst Babylon Rogues to see if they can behave
Rivals 2 paired up grim focused ninja Espio and naive good boy Silver
(Sticks and Blaze) almost feels like retread of Marine
(Blaze and Tangle might be same)
(Cream and Sonic) were touche don briefly, but there were zombies going on so wasn't purest

Where does Omega live
Think Omega is meant to be wanderer like Sonic and Shadow
Tiresome with Shadow, but is Omega's gag so more wiling to let be

Tails Doll in IDW
#Knowing Smile

Would accidental theory/idea be off limits
Yep, that's why Kyle fields questions first

Think people accepted Shadow when he first arrived since he's essentially an alien
Given they thought he was a plain hedgehog, don't think it's issue
Sonic's World seems chill about everything, so tends to be judgmental
Would require Shadow to interact with people and he doesn't do that

State of technological advancement on Blaze world
Officially, they are less
When asked for Imperial Castle design, generation or two behind Sonic's
Marine tries to build boats out of random materials

Why Sonic fans ship everything
It's fun on its own, like theory crafting
It's when they get so tunnel vision that they get offensive or defensive about it
Not shaming, but can't impose what wants
Believe any characters who hook up need to be friends first
Can be at first sight, but there should be more than googly eyes
Perhaps Tangle and Whisper can build into any direction

Spoiler

Feb 8
Missed Opportunities from Shadow(Several questions in one and this is the other half of them)
GUN Commander worked for GUN because as far as he knows, something just went wrong in the lab and GUN "fixed" it
He had no context beyond that and the fact that he bought Shadow's side of the story is comparatively iffy
The reason Black Doom wanted Shadow to help him is kinda up in the air, but he had a limited ability to send troops to the planet and the Chaos Emeralds made it easier to do so with the neurotoxin making things even easier
Eggman was upset about the Black Arms destroying things because he didn't get to do it--he called dibs a long time ago
The people who hired the Chaotix we're likely the same people who hired Rouge, who nearly found everything the first time through. But then there's little insight into the other government agencies

What would Starline make of Wily
Either he finds him just as impressive or sees him as a complete goofball
Comparing him to Eggman is missing the nuance of the latter's brilliance
If anything, he would've been the jilted lover throughout most of the crossover
As for the Doctor Light situation, he'd be more sympathetic towards Wily's perspective but agree that Light had to go

Is Team Chaotix no longer their name
Team Chaotix is more of a brand-name like Team Dark
The official name is the Chaotix Detective Agency
(Kyle doesn't see Shadow using the name in-universe anyway)
In Archie, it was at least the distinction GUN gave them

What did like about Roger Craig Smith as Sonic
The new of Colleen Villiard and Cindy Robinson leaving caught everyone offguard
Mike Pollock staying is more relieving than it outta be
Don't know, but expects something similar to Sonic X to new cast shift
Roger's announcement made really bummed because they were favorite version of characters
Cindy took longer than others due to the direction, but nailed it once she was settled
Roger captured quintessential dry wit, just cocky and playful enough
The whole crew was a charming and charismatic delight
Have some spots and speculations, but gonna play safe since could be misconstrued as insider knowledge

How were Robot Masters less capable than Reploids or Humans
There isn't much if a difference with a clear distinction
Don't think there was tight thread throughout
A lot of what stems today is a frustration with lack of cohesion for cool ideas
In the comic, tried to think of Robot Masters as fascimile of consciousness
Emulating personality with independent decision making, but there is limit
There are exceptions throughout Classic, but some are built in one function and removing them from that will decrease their capability
Rock and Roll were built to help more than anything, giving them greater
Blues may have been accidental prototype of Reploids and that's why he's so independent
May not completely hold water
Reploids are fully sapient and aware with
There is a caveat in that X and arguably Zero had the fullest limitless potential
Reploids were Dr Cain's flash in pan knockoffs that have most of the range but lack the same maturity and stability when faced with limitless possibility
Start going into deeper phylosopjy if what is free will beyond that
Robot Masters are capable enough to fool people working with them on momentary basis, but Reploids are first true step into independent synthetic light
(Only distinction in game is that Robot Masters are bound by three laws)
Sure there's at least one robot master that changes occupation out of want that mucked things up
(Sheep man?)

Were Fiona similar to Harley Quinn and what plans were there for her
Lost Hedgehog Tales territory
But Fiona would eventually realize how toxic anchor on her neck Scourge was, break off on her own, and become own villainous
Stop clinging to other forms of stability and become her own manipulative self serving rock
Don't know if had her take over Destructix, but that would've been super long term what if scenario

Would own Movie Egg Mobile, favorite Bat Mobile, or Delirian
(Kyle would likely want delorean, even if it is limited)
Recommend using time travel to get all three
Hard to lick favorite Batmobile since not practical at all
Delorean can fly and time tracking car, so has functionality plus perks
Egg Mobile is reasonably sized with weapons, making it practical with buffs
Can't do three point or even right hand turn in Batmobile
(Could use grappling hook)
Don't wanna go 90 mph to hop buildings or take up three turn Lanes at 5 mph
(Batman is not practical in slightest)
Tossup between stylish first Tim Burton and sleek sexy flying Batman Beyond
(Batwoman Batmobile is disappointing black Cumerral)

Was Sonic's flaws always maena to be extension of Scourge
Yes and no
Scourge was meant to do something with blank useless character
Wanted to play with derivativeness
Easy trope of evil hero
But what do you do when you know your existence is purely analog
That's where most of the interesting stuff came from
He was sleazy slimeball and everything negative word, but there was slight tragedy of having nothing else and he can't break away from dual identity
Once that was explored, it was reflected off Sonic not going in that direction
This distinguished who he was past, who he'd be going forward, and how he handles dire situations

Go off about Drogoon
Five page update last week with bonus content
Science fantasy series with Adam Bryce Thomas
Cathartic exercise outside licensed guidelines & rules and publishing schemas
It's me run through Adam filter
He asks questions and occasionally sends ideas
Did doodle on Bumblekast that was made into something for down the road
Culmination of a lot of things enjoy and frustrated by media wise
This is way to do things right
Example is the Force in Star Wars, which was mystical energy revised into energy beamed by microbial bugs
It doesn't really exist in Drogoon, but it leans hard into fantasy
Scifi true to stay within rules of universe of knowing what we know
Science fantasy is either looser or ignoring
Flying ships with unusual sentient beings, plus basis of magic with rules
Can't just wave hand, but flying boat and airfield within poisonous cloud is just magic
It's something to mold and shape as please, which is daunting because of possibilities outside planned main story
Chance to be creative withoit restriction at own pace

Wakfu influence in Drogoon
Oh yeah
Don't wanna specify because someone who say this is where it was ripped off
There are parallels Of it within Drogoon, but there's also Star Wars, Tales of, Fire Emblem, Lord of Rings, healthy helping of Skies of Arcadia, maybe a bit of Halo,
probably degree of OG Thundercats's sheer wut free fantasy
Elf ears, girl dragon, boat in space, space is poison gas, magic tanks, giant squirrel, talking rock

Wanda vision Loki Falcon & Winter soldier
Kinda feeling burnout by Endgame
Announcement of 17 other films already makes tired
Wanda vision has been phenomenal
(Helps that it's been unintentional year off)
Probably liked the best, even creepiness, is vehicle to explore other Marvel stuff
Jimmy Wu is back
We're not just adding
The sequence of Monica returning playing on the terror that the Blip would create was fascinating
The big reveal of the latest episode and all of it's implications
It's really solid addition where could see as another movie, but like that they have more than 2 hour format to explore
Set bar that makes toked to see what they do with other stuff, like animated What If
(Balancing multiverse can be tantalizing, but difficult)
They eased into it
Remember wondering how Thor would be palatable
How make taking tree and especially Rocket work in Guardians
Now have one of the most sympathetic and well-rounded characters that people don't see as CG Build a Bear
Now talking about Eternals and Multiverse stuff
(Only disappointed with unceremoniously ejected other TV stuff)
(Hopefully keep form getting over bloated)
If wise, can follow similar arc as Phase 1 through 3
Start small and build back up
Remember when dude in flying armor was on cusp of out there
Had to spend a lot of time explaining it
Compare to final fight of Endgame, with wizards opening portals in Africa and other planets so kid in techno spider suit can fight other aliens with mutant gorillas

Can Sally be voiced by Jon Gray
Normally throw out violent denial, but it's been rough year
Go for it if he can handle it

Why doesn't anyone else about womandates
I know, where's the equality?

Did Freedom Fighters keep their memories or did fade away
Intention was faded
Fought with Kaminski I've don't acknowledging at all as clean break or acknowledging old continuity so old readers wouldn't feel completely left out

Thoughts on Adventure games
Fondly remember, warts and all
Kinda fun looking at experimental first and refined second
Prefer second as Eggman blowing up stuff
Debatable for setting Modern Sonic tone, even
Apologist for bugs with rose tinted glasses
Biggest gripe is side content is collectively same length as Sonic
Like everyone's own game style
Like Big exploration, while Tails was weakest link that was just different enough
Would like to come back as more refined though
(Kyle feel adventure 1 better if buggy, with 2 being overrated with pacing and inconsistency)

Any design for Megadrive machine
Yeah it got drawn in inked pages
It hurts even more and looked good because Tyson Hesse
MegaDrive chassis Deep sea leviathan take
(Was as cool as Egg Carton)
Better even if you thought the other was cool
Probably won't get to see it

Does Sega give pointers on Simevrs Future
Metal Virus Saga was purposefully scripted to see what notes he'd get
Got back what's called Blue Skies Future
Original draft had in depth city scene to show life, but was asked to scale back to distant shot

Can do lawyer friendly Freedom Fighters
No There is none
Artists can conceivably draw something that looks like them
Not particularly fond of that because eagerness of fans would claim validation and make a mess of it

Is Zavok finding his pack a miniseries
Gonna have to wait and see

How is Sonic so blue and so fast
"Screw in the ass here's the forbidden knowledge the reason he sobering so fast is--"
(Critical Systems Failure from Colors)
"That's the long and short of it"

Spoiler

February 15
Freedom Fighters as Drogoon races
One principal theme is people are people regardless of differences
Want same them except jerks
Races don't indicate particular tropes like in most fantasy
Give some homogeny but don't rely on the trope
One thing that drove nuts was final bate of Return of Jedi was supposed to be on Kashyyk with Wookie army
Of course, thinking at time was that Chewbacca being tech savvy somehow made it difficult for audiences to understand
There's going to be art poet con artist Woolies because they are a race of people
So grain of salt
Sonic is Drogoon incredible power
Tails Shantee ability to fly
Knuckles is Droff rough and Tumble explorer associated with earth
Amy is Humay exciteable adventure with raw talent but few mystical powers
Blaze is Shanti Imperial high latent abiliry; perhaps some parallels to a spoiler character
Silver is maybe Drogoon incredible power but naive and out of loop
Sally is arborial species like Auzhay
Antoine is Humay no ability but high military rank
Rouge is Shanti talent but flight is deciding factor, plus Nurmen is off to their own devices
Shadow is spoilery
Tangle is Hauzay exciteable gymnastic with functional tail
Whisper is Humay tech savvy trained soldier
Jewel is fastidious flying and buglike EnShanti, which is funny because the focus on Augenheim and Draunheim means won't see many until way down the line

How would villains celebrate Valentine's day
Eggman doesn't care beyond using as basis for next attack, like hypnotic greeting card or cupidbot squadron
Starline plans everything and spends a month prepping for evening, only for it to go to waste due to date being off attacking
Rough and Tumble start out bragging about their hot dates, start arguing about whose is better, spend day getting shot down because awful people, and commiserate about how no one loves them because elitism and how they got each other to ruin everyone else's dates
Have not written Clutch yet, but Stanley said he's probably not interested due to older age
May use as excuse for party and shady deals for suitor, but may encourage any obedient employees to go have a nice night
Mimic has maintained same long distance relationship with same mook, plays part to string guy along the whole day, and claims to go away on year long trip just for lulz

How to make Zeti your valentine
You don't
They have no love for anything other than personal gain and destruction
Although allowing them to cause havoc in Chinashop may make them find you more appealing

How Amy celebrates Valentine's beside totally noncreepy Sonic doll
Know that's Boom reference, but EeeeYikes
Like to think they're at stage where Sonic is willing to cave and spend nice night out with her
There's no misunderstandings about it being a date, but still Amy hopes it could eventually lead to long term thing
He doesn't run away or snark realizing it's an important day for her and decided to roll with it

What character would make for Sonic themed D&D
 Passing familiarity with it
(Works like more progressive Tolkien)
Could be fun to take Avatar approach, even if don't know how to translate
Knuckles is easy Beserker, but where does it fit
(Rouge is rogue, Sonic's is hard to pin down strengthless Monk)
May have to homebrew rules
Trying to find time to homebrew for Bumblekwest and taken all creative energy in avenue due to switching gears
Someone more capable will have fertile ground to figure that out
(Tails can be artificer, Whisper is soldier type)

Megaman Zero character arc and how flesh out
Is a lot of nebulous unconfirmed
Like that he was first truly sapient robot alongside X, with Wily achieving same as Light to destroy Megaman
Yet became biggest generation bros
Still incredible utter badass for own reason
Resolving issues between post X5 to Zero
(Ignoring anything after X5) throws Axel under bus
Had series roughly plotted from Classic to Legends with a lot
Really wanted X4
But looking at transition, there became point of figuring out when get to it
Honestly don't know how to resolve short of
Have to go back and research for little nugget
It's tangled mess
Not as familiar with Zero and ZX, beyond premise of Zero in Mad Max scenario to quell ghosts and bring hope again
Like that for his arc
Difference with Shadow is clear path that had followup, while Shadow's return was apparently contentious and his nuance has been tossed out the window
Zero is more satisfying because even with bumps, there was a throughline

How would Starline react to being mistaken for a duck in-universe
Wonder if Mobians would be prone to that or if they'd have eye with it
Imagine he'd roll with it and calmly clarify as common misconception
Until Sonic decides to do it on purpose, which would lead to fun screaming and tantrum throwing

Sonic character blood type
Eggman is confirmed B
A for Sonic Antoine epio blaze
B knucke vector Chaney Bunnie rogue big
AB for Shaofe asticks
O tails Sally rotor marine silver
Shaofe o negative because
Not familiar with blood type personality, like astrology
Don't know general characteristics
Generally surprised Sonic doesn't already had it
Gonna say don't know enough to make guess, beside Shadow as fan idea

What inspired Drogoon and how is it written
It is cathartic exercise
Way of creating and being creative Wirhiru Amy oversight
There did Collab with Adam regarding scripts and creative ideas
Not sending off to mega global corporation
Its mainly a personal neat thing that others may find cool, but it's mainly an outlet
There's also a place to revise media that had issue with
Do it right sounds egotistical
Have main storyline plotted for ten books, book 1 is done and 2 needs revising before finish
There are also millions of things want to spin out
When writing it, know where want to end and points to hit, begging question of where to start In Medias Res to avoid boring stuff and don't get hung up on setup for every little thing
While there is a road map, don't be afraid to adjust because of new ideas or another perspective
Case in point, Book 2 sees Wynn have to make a decision she normally wouldn't and it didn't feel 100% rationalSo decided it needs to be more set up in about 20 pages
Need to be willing to change even if it hurts and scene planned for 2 years

Have ever written with Stan Lee's Marvel layout
Closest came to was Other M
5 page manuscripts with basic paving and dialogue, but no page count or panel staging
Some artists could turn into 20 page, others did in 15
Huge learning experience for what doesn't translate form head or is poorly explained
Work in more structured format and that's preference, but would be interested in different process
Even toyed with partnering with artist who does their own thing and then pass it to be made coherent process
Could come up with first ten pages and then they draw something that wasn't intended
Require time and freedom to be done though
(Could be fun to do with Drogoon)
Kinda got Adam on such a lockdown that he probably has no time to breathe
Every now and then, wanna tweet for artist who'd want to do in format
Tempting but have no free time outside of own stuff
Though two voices say either yes do it and no don't

Process for giving art to audition for IDW
Can't get into industry unless know someone and can't know someone without being established
Used to be Talk to editor in con circuit and show portfolio
Or sometimes companies have review day, which was best way to do it
Because of covid, not thing anymore
No good way because of stable line of artists with innodating amount trying to get in, so recommend having it ready to go for cheap easy website to show off
Hope for best, look for submission opportunities, try contacting particular creators to start rapport
Don't email out of view for job, rather follow and get to know them
Post online to get retweets for enough attention for opportunity
No good failsafe, just keeps doing until get shot
Case in point, personally had four years of silence until got lucky break

What pairings should Sega use in future
Wish would mix up a bit
Favorite is odd pairing
Soulless machine Omega can't bring self to hurt tiny innocent Cream
Blanking on so many possibilities to see how work, character study, mesh or clash personalities
Tempting to fall into categorized groups like Team units
Sometimes force differences that can be neat
Want to play with all toys in fun ways
(Always like Knuckles and Amy as fun experiment)
Sonic Rivals 2 had fun different naive cinnamon roll Silver and grim stoic worldyEspio
Imagine warmed up Blaze and  Whisper, both incredible and focused badasses
attacking Eggman with hand signals and polite nods
Whisper launch Wisp power to Blaze in trouble
(Could tie into silent comic question)
Shadow and Tangelo handcuffed together is gold mine in itself
(Cream and Shadow would be incredible, Tails and Eggman out of Boom)

Did Amy, Cream, and Rouge marry in 30 years later
Didn't get into all that
Treading Lost Hedgehog Tales, but should be safeish
Imagined Amy as time traveling solo adventurer, hence hinting at time stones
Out doing things while Sonic is King
Don't see Rouge settling down ever, one love are jewels
(And herself)
Sorta headcanon, but like idea of Tails and Cream after a time skip as future high flying heroes trained by best, maybe friends or maybe romantic
Cheese evolved into Light Chao
Doesn't apply to 30YL since Cream hadn't been introduced at this point but just personal fanficy approach
(Someone heard as Amy and Rouge marrying each other)

Was Thunderbolt intended to be taken with Eggman and was Wendy merely flirting
Both were totally different, especially Thunderbolt
Thunderbolt is Starline turned to 13 on a dial of 5
Meant it be Stary eyed bootlicker joke boss except also incredibly deadly
Wendy had respect for Eggman and dont know if there were plans beyond that
Feel like she was genuine but there wouldn't be loving or respecting thing
Wendy is about Wendy first

Think Sonic was irresponsible to keep Sally waiting too long
Been bit, but not how events played out
There was big misunderstanding some need to let go of
There was long period of unresolved tension
160 began with Sally getting over herself and asking to be friends again
From there, friendship was rebuilt
Sally began considering her options of where to go and Sonic wasn't factor because doing own thing
That meandered into speculation with Ken, which was nice but not what she wanted
Really wanted to go with Sonic again and he had no obligation to confess any feelings beyond agreeing

How would Tangle and Whisper's first date play out
Disastrously
(Imagine Tangle wouldn't realize their on a date for a while)
She would never initiate because wouldn't think to
Whisper has difficult time initiate because she isn't personal or open
It's already a herculian effort
And Tangle isn't going to conform to personal expectations
So imagine slew of Comedy of Errors that eventually gets figured out and then carries on low key
Goes in record as one of worst attempts ever
(Which makes it one of best)

What does Sphinx look so cute I had to shave it mean
(What do any of the lyrics mean)
Its all weird and can't stay out of gutter with translation
Try to rationalize as anything else, but nope going right into places
(And rest of song is...idk)
Kind of just rejected My Sweet Passion and taken Team Rose as her theme since like that a lot better
(Actually really like My Sweet passion, but not for lyrics and at least Karaoke version allow to make own lyrics)

Spoiler

February 22

Will Sonic Prime be on Mobius or Sonic's World
Cant talk about it right now because while not writing the show, know things

How old is Vanilla and where is Cream's father
Personal view is there probably wasn't much thought out in beyond Cream being a little girl who needs someone to save
Haven't received information beyond that
Wanna say old Sonic Channel profiles list her as "It's impolite to ask a woman her age"
Could infer either cultural taboo or she's older than you'd think
Prefer she skew a little younger for her crackship with Vector to stay noncreepy

Greatest Cinematic Villain of All time
Narrow to villain and not antagonists
Predator and Xenomorph aren't villains so much as Obstacles, morality of hunting sentients
Horror monsters like Jason are more forces of nature that got backstory added
Don't know, but top three are Darth Vader (Original Trilogy & Rogue One), Thanos execution of range was Marvelous, Davy Jones is Charismatic
Thanos had range from broken over Gamora weary had more than balance scales
Davy had cranked up range of fun betrayal rage and paranoia
(Kyle likes M Bison gnawing on scenery President Koopa)
Also T-1000 as soulless force that's sapient enough to manipulate and make previous villain the only hope

Drogoon species for Rotor and Bunnie and Sticks

Don't remember which podcast but one I found interesting:

Belle's overly long focus is all Evan's thing; Ian comments that while he was offered the miniseries to develop the IDW-exclusives without bogging the main series, Evan hasn't been given the same opportunity (yet) so maybe that's why.

As for the moment all playable character can have a super form in neo-classics game, it's not surprising. If anything, Super Mighty and Super Ray kinda were clues of that. Tho he says "debatably", which mean it's more him inferring that it's like that, and not it having been forbidden of him, so I might be wrong on that matter and maybe they're really "relegated to the Classic universe" (but I highly doubt that).

That's a thing that could be annoying if they wanted to reuse one day the "fourth civilisation" storyline, the whole Sonic Chronicles drama. Well, it might not be an issue, as if SEGA decide to go back to story again, it'll certainly not go back to those, but would certainly try more to make new story. It's more if one day the comics is able to tackle that, that it might be an annoying position for them.

Tho I would rather have a different origin story, and go back to Gizoid/Emerl being an unique masterpiece, and not a model of robots.

This is a tweet from Ian Flynn explaining about what he stated in the Bumblekast regarding SEGA "not being too keen on utilizing older or present game material" and he explains what he meant by that here:

This definitely helped clear things up with the comics.

Honestly, on this one, I kinda see why a lot of people where confused, as post-reboot seemed to use a lot of references to the past games, and semi-adaptation (we got adaptation of Unleashed, a semi-one of Sonic the Fighter, slight references to the classic to build is "SatAM-fused classic era" and flashback semi-adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 GG and Tails Skypatrol fused to a Naugus and Breezie arc). So honestly, while I'm know that if we look at each case separatedly we can see how they're special case, I can understand how people can see a difference and be confused by that.

( I won't count Genesis of a Hero, because it's kinda obvious it was a special anniversary arc that didn't really follow the same rules)

Yeah, I almost assumed that he meant that SEGA made up a new mandate about not using past games in the IDW stories, which wouldn't make any sense for SEGA to do so because 1) There's the encyclopedia book coming out soon that details everything that happened in the franchise up to this point and 2) If SEGA made this mandate right in the middle of the story, then it would have negative consequences for the comic since the comic takes place after Sonic Forces, which means that SEGA would force the writers to rewrite everything that happened in the story and that would be a bad move since this series is proving to be very successful.

I get it was a bit unclear at first, but I can't fathom how some people took it to mean the series is getting rebooted. The series is never going to reboot, and there's never going to be official content where SEGA tries to "clean" the lore. The Encyclospeedia's going to be a reference book that recaps the series and little else beyond that, not a grand lore book.

What I'm scared of is that these types of videos might cause people like Ian Flynn to lose their jobs if they get taken out of context or go against what SEGA is doing for the franchise at the moment.  I don't know if that's even possible, but that's why I don't care much for these click bait videos.

Me too.  I don't know if I could deal with fans constantly making things look bad on purpose or just yelling at you for something you don't have control over.  I wish there were more people like them who can put up with such nonsense with a straight face.

I feel so much for everybody involved into Sonic. It's impressive that they don't have an higher turnout with all the crap they suffer. And Flynn really is one of those (with Jon) that suffered a lot from the worse parts of the fandom.

Well, it all depends of what we call about "using", and TBH if the mandate was here, it would be here since a while, because even with stuff like Neo Metal Sonic and stuff, we have WAY less reference to the past lore than in Archie post-reboot for instance. And sometimes they used pretty unknown stuff like "the great four civilization". So if "SEGA made up a new mandates", it wouldn't be that new.

They won't forbid to use some "elements" of the games, but they might forbid to make the game needed to understand the story or some elements or something like that. And honestly, if I obviously trust Flynn that it haven't changed in quality, I still think that they might be more about being "accessible" that they were before. ( Because that's one point where I feel they're right : Post-Reboot was really requiring people to be big Sonic fan, while IDW is way more accessible to casual Sonic fans. )

I don't think that SEGA would ask for IDW to stop collaborating with Flynn, without asking him to stop saying stuff like that on bumblekast first : it would be way too much disruption when a more simple solution exists. We have more chances to loose the insight that Flynn provide on his videos and on twitter, than to loose his work.

People have been taking him out of context for years, and SEGA's not stopped being willing to work with him or told him to be quiet. I'm not worried about that, but people spreading misinformation is annoying. So many resources available, and no one wants to fact-check. Or brush up on some reading comprehension.

Fact-checked information is boring. "Flynn said that SEGA prefer the comics doesn't make too much references to the past and current game" is less flashy than "SEGA WANT NO REFERENCES, THAT MEAN A REBOOT <insert here three emoji and a clickbait thumbnail>". You have to think about the clicks !

Exactly and most of his statements about what he's allowed to do for the comics shouldn't be any kind of big secret that would ruin the comics.

Don't worry, Ian Flynn can defend himself from the annoying side of the fandom. He has experience with dealing with that. Although I have to say I am a bit worried that SEGA might have a problem with him being so transparent with the fandom, he literally reveals "SEGA asked us to write this, that" all the behind the scenes, which I'm not sure he can do, but it's something he does all the time, so maybe he can?

Well, SEGA needs somebody to connect with the fanbase and Ian Flynn and Evan Stanley seem to be the only people who are trying to connect to the fanbase, which is something that SEGA really needs to gain a better understanding of what the fans want from the franchise.

There are a lot of people around Sonic that connect to the fanbase, Flynn and Evan aren't really the exception. They have nowadays a whole PR team, even with people that comes from the fanbase (there was Aaron, but Kattie is pretty good too), they have Hoshino that is a lot present on the Social Media, and they have a kinda good awareness of the fandom from a team of japanese developers from a big studio. Their voice actors (especially RGS or Pollock) already talk a lot with the fanbase.

But connecting to the fandom doesn't really mean that they'll have to do "what the fan want" (especially as we're just the active part of "people that like Sonic" which is even only a subpart of what would be interesting to reach, which would be "the public for something like Sonic". And I feel that a part of the non budget-related issues are in targeting this potential public, they're making some questionable discussions), nor that if they do they'll do something good (a lot of other elements are affecting that).

It's good that they are attempting to reach out to the fanbase a bit more nowadays.  I think the real problem is who's writing the stories and who's developing the games.  Because, even though you have people like RCS and Ian Flynn connecting to the fans, there's nothing they can do when it comes to developing the games or writing the scripts.

Also, as Ian Flynn mentioned, do you think that SEGA will eventually lift up the mandates on the comics, especially since the comics are doing so well?

People that work on the game doesn't have to connect with the fanbase, tbh. If there is issues, other channel can bring the feedback, but they don't need to be part of our communication, especially as we doesn't represent the whole buyer base. ( And honestly, we're a bit part of why Pontaff didn't want to connect with us. Not anybody have to accept the harassers because "there is good people too in the fandom". ) The PR team can gather feedback and help.

Having already so many people that connect with us is already a lot and is pretty cool, wanting all the actual devs and storywriter to hang out with us isn't really a good idea. Because they shouldn't listen too much to us, or let our vision affect too much their creativity. They should do their own stuff, with some guidelines to make Sonic "Sonic". If stuff changes and some of the old fart like us don't like it, it's fair game. The question is how much they manage to make stuff that'll have its own public.

( And for devs, honestly connecting with us would be 100% useless, it wouldn't make the code better, they would just ear a lot of misplaced comments from non-devs about how they should do their job. Even game designer shouldn't really hear us, because design by comitee is nearly always a mistake. )

Depends of what you call "mandates" (because most of them aren't mandates at all). Most of them (stuff like "Sonic can't loose in the end, Sonic won't break up crying, SEGA's character can't die or get new familly, no big intimate relationship with the main characters, having to follow the official design", or that they have to follow what SEGA's see as "what the IP is"), nope. They'll keep their branding, and their vision of what is Sonic.

Stuff like Shadow's characterization, maybe in appearance because they will accept to let slide some variables (adding more "jerk with an heart of gold" moments, giving him a few victory or cool moment)... or more simply because the writers will do stuff that please more the validator and us at the same time, maybe with proposing a Shadow more in line with the Sonic Channel one more than with the ArchieSonic/2006 one (Evan Stanley already handle him better than Flynn IMO, with more moment when we see that there is more under his rough surface).
