Your patience has been rewarded! We've FINALLY renovated the place, after at least a year (or three) of painstaking work to redesign and rethink what we want The Sonic Stadium to be, and make the site 'reborn' for 2021.

Announced way back in October last year, this new look and feel represents a 'spring clean' (or 'fresh slate') for the site and the forums. You might have noticed that being our intention, what with the Sonic Discussion forum changes last month and all. There's more to come on that front, including revisions of old stuff as well as introductions of brand new stuff. But that's for another time. Let's talk about this new theme!

This isn't quite the good old 'Sonical' theme that you know and love. This is a brand new colour scheme and design that we imagined for the site, and it's called... quite appropriately... "Stadium". It's a general celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog, which is reflected in the randomised header banners that you'll see on each page load. Alongside an awesome quote from Sonic the Hedgehog (or a bastardised quote that we've taken apart ) underneath the site logo.

All the site's main sections are covered in the navigation bar underneath - just hover your mouse over one of the sections and you'll see a dropdown of subsections you can select from. Hovering over the 'SSMB' section will also unveil a little nook for the latest 'Our Picks' entries, that we announced just last week.

Also, you might want to take note of the little 'moon' icon on the very left hand side of the navigation bar there. Click it, and this happens on the fly...

Dynamic Dark Mode, baby!

This will be the new default theme for the entire site going forward. While we will introduce (and re-introduce...) new character themes in the future (Sonical hasn't gone away...), this will be the only theme that Guests will be able to access. So if you want to browse the Sonic Stadium with a future Sonical flair, you best be logged in to your TSS Account!

We know you've all been asking for so many character themes to return... We hear you. I want you all to know that we will be releasing a brand new character theme every week (or damn near close to it) from now on. Until we run out of characters or until we get tired.

I really like the new look. It feels like a really efficient change. It's good to still have the banner there and the new and improved buttons.

Liking a lot about what I see so far. Having the rotating banner sets is neat (Could this mean the option for people to submit fanmade banners could be readded?), and the new taskbar and sections for SSMB is a nice touch. Good to not have to navigate a ton to get to all of the status updates, and such too.

Can't wait to see the themes readded. Even as a Knux fan, I can't wait to get my green Vector theme back lol.

Dark mode toggle!!!  No idea if it'll exist alongside the other themes (Assuming they return), but my eyes thank you for no longer being blinded lol

Yeah this dark mode looks great-much appreciated. Can't wait for the return of dark Sonical theme. Right? RIGHT?!

I'm liking it so far. I definitely dislike the light theme (despite liking light theme over dark) though, just because I find it hard to pick things out with the huge white boxes. This is probably something that'll be fixed when character themes come as I can be able to add a spice of color.

The theme looks great and I really really love the banners They are gorgeous and do a good job representing the breadth of the Sonic franchise and giving reminders of some of the great times within it.
