This topic was good and got turned into Sonic Merch Up For Grabs at Japanese SA2 Demo Event at some point.

Well, colour us green with envy! Sonic Team is planning to host an insanely cool party for Japanese fans in Tokyo's Akihabara district on the 16th and 21st December, offering a chance to try Sonic Adventure 2, Phantasy Star Online and Samba de Amigo 2000. Attendees will also be able to get a bunch of exclusive goodies! Here's what's on offer.

Sonic Adventure Jacket: This was made when Sonic Adventure was being released in America. Talk about a rarity! We thought most of these items were going to be promotional tokens or cards or something, but it turns out Sonic Team is being extremely generous! Some more items...

Sonic Adventure 30cm Action Figures: These are already available in the US in certain Toys R Us stores, but they're probably not that common in Japan. Still, getting a free bunch of these is pretty sweet!

Sydney Sega World Pin Badges: According to IGNDC, these were given out during the Olympics that took place in Sydney in the year 2000. And a bunch of them will be given out to attendees of this event!

Sonic, ChuChu Rocket! and Samba de Amigo Plush Toys: These will also be signed by Yuji Naka himself, which makes these toys all the more special!

NiGHTS into Dreams Promotional CD and Phone Cards: The CD is a single of the game's title track, Dreams Dreams, and was only ever distributed at the Tokyo Game Show. The phone cards you could probably get anywhere in Japan, but still a pretty awesome collector's item.

Sonic 'Project Katana' Jacket: Katana was the codename for the Sega Dreamcast, and this jacket was made during the production of the console in the US. As you can see, it's Yuji Naka's favourite jacket, but it will be one hell of a piece to go in your collection.

NiGHTS Production Leaflets: There's probably a whole bunch of these sitting around Sega Japan's office, so why not distribute them out? These look really cool though - Japan gets much nicer, prettier promotional material than we do.

All of the above is making us want to book a plane to Japan right now. Which I'd have done years ago... if I wasn't skint. Oh well. Whoever gets to go, have a great time!
