A new cover for the Tails 30th Issue reveals the IDW redesigns for the Witchcarters

I KNEW IT! I knew Sonic would be captured by Witchcart in this! That way Tails gets to be the hero and save the day (and his best buddy)!

Nice cover too. The villains look amazing in this!

Nice to see the Sonic 3D Blast Flickys again. Franchise is kinda on-again off-again about using them.

 

Its also might turn into a nice narrative follow up if they accompany Tails during the story. They did the same for Sonic during the events of 3D blast, so here is Tails helping them to return the favor while proving himself at the same time. win-win.

Looks like according to the cover she have some sort of "crystalline-like magic" as she had in her Archie Sonic interpretation. I don't know much about Tails Skypatrol, is that something from Tails Skypatrol, or was it something that Flynn invented for Archie ?

( I'm not saying that she will be like her Archie version - we already can see that she's not - it's just that it surprised me that this bit was still in Flynn's interpretation )

I think the original story for Tails Skypatrol involves Witchcart turning the island's inhabitants into crystals, so I don't think that's a Flynn thing.

That was her power in SkyPatrol, crystal magic, her goal was to turn everyone into crystals, yes.

Just like Honey being a fashion designer, that's not something Flynn invented for Archie but something that he took from the games.

Okay, thanks for the info ! I suppose it was in the manual, I didn't thought about checking it.

I supposed at that time it was to link her to Naugus (which used crystalline magic already), so it's interesting to see it was something coming from the games.
