Shadow's love life

While the whole Tails/Eggman thing may seem understandably silly in the romantic sense, I'd still like to seem them gradually grow to be on more friendly terms.^^ One is a mature child, the other is a childish adult, so I find their interactions intriguing.^^

Whereas I would like to see Tails get friendly enough with Eggman to learn some of his plans/technical secrets... and them use them against him later XD It'd be interesting to see the heroes being underhanded for once.

Heh, I guess I wouldn't mind seeing that too, as long as it were in a cocky, playful Sonic-esque "Nya nya, I fooled you!" sort of way. As opposed to what Shadow or Omega might do, a sort of "NOW WATCH ALL YOUR HOPES AND DREAM CRUMBLE, DOCTOR", sort of thing.^^;;

<On Topic> I'm surprised that nobody has made mention of Shadow x Metal Sonic yet. They surely got together well in Sonic Rivals 2 after all. It's a shame that that relationship was soon thwarted by Bowser Jr. x Metal Sonic in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, though.

Forgetting the issue of whether Shadow is 'equipped' or not... why on Earth would Metal be equipped? ^^; Actually, don't answer that, I'm not sure i want to even imagine why Eggman would build an anatomically complete metal replica of his rival @_@

If Archie is anything to go by Shadow seems to have fetish for sentient synthetic anthro/humanoid weapons. He's moody about not saving Gamma and Metal Sonic and he spends more time with Omega than anyone else.

Yeah, and as i said earlier, in Chronicles Shadow seemed to be closer to Omega than to anyone else, including Rouge. When he first met Rouge in the game, they were both just like "oh, it's you. well, whatever" and after than they hardly even seemd to aknowledge eachother.

I think Omega might have become Shadow's new "morality pet" (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MoralityPet) instead of Maria.

God, I love that picture. I could get into a Robotnik shipping macro fight with you all day if the mods wouldn't chew my ear off at the idea.

Honestly, while I like the idea for everyone to find love at some point, Shadow seems more like the brooding lone wolf who only has reserved feelings towards Maria- feelings that probably consist more of love for her because she cared for him and she was his best bud on the A.R.K. than the romantic kind. Rouge while being a notorious flirt with anything that has legs is the only character that comes close to a giant question mark of budding romance for the dark hedgie. She does apparently have some reserved feelings for him and while in the past it was with Knuckles up to a point, that trail has gone cold with the inclusion of disinterest in Chronicles. Well it seems that way. She does still feel something for Rad Red.

Of course mentioning the whole course of shipping and being the nutty fangirl that I am, I shipped WaluigixRobotnik way before the first Mario and Sonic game (and look now, they are friends! Dawwwww.) Imagine all of the crazy antics they would get into together...

Exploding things, tossing small unexpecting children at Mario and Luigi's house, riding illegally dangerous contraptions down Toad's Turnpike while looting and pillaging unsuspecting nearby drivers, posturing egotistically in front of mirrors. The world's their Machiavellian oyster.

Why does this topic exist? Shadow is so one-dimensional that I don't think he even has the social capacity to register attraction for anyone or anything of the opposite sex. One glance at his famous quotes field in his Wiki entry and you'll understand exactly where I am coming from. The dude ain't crushin' on anyone, he's too busy waving his weiner and claiming his omnipotence to play 'hold the purse while she goes into Limited Too.'

I maintain the firm belief that fictional characters whose sole purpose is to entertain should only have love interests that are at least funny and extremely insincere. I mean, I hate the shit out of Amy, and I get super pissed when I see that early form of Amy following sonic around on that one part of that one Sonic CD level (or Amy anytime that sweetass porn grove from SA1 isn't in the background), but at least I can get some laughs out of it. Hell, my pals and I can't play through Sonic 2 (or any game with Tails) without at least one "Sonic sexually abuses Tails" joke. Leave romance for those cheap-ass novels and thoughtful cable porn.

Shadow is too badass to have time for a love life. If he did have a girlfriend, she would also have to be badass. Rouge, Amy, Blaze ,Sonic? aren't really that badass like Shadow. Besides he looks like he is better off on his own.
