This topic was good and got turned into Where Does Sonic Live? The Sonic Multiverse? TailsTube Returns for More Lore at some point.

I expected it to be more questions about Amy but it was mostly on Sonic. I don't say this necessarily as a bad thing, it's lore again as usual, and fun interactions, references, art, which is always great. Plus, the characterization for every character was top.

Cindy is so great, hope they use her even more, plus this depiction of Amy is basically what Ian has been doing between IDW and Frontiers, but it's also consistent to Prime, it's consistent and that's how I would describe her, she's friendly, caring and mature.

A bit ridiculous that it had to be clarified, but it's good to have a good official source that maintains Classic Sonic as Sonic's past post-Forces, rather than an alternate dimension.

Unfortunately the price is Knuckles signing up for social media and falling down the algorithm rabbit hole, becoming radicalized to the idea of the ancient mole people hiding the most powerful power source on the planet somewhere for their foul conspiracies

Sonic is the world's fastest hobo who mooches off his friends for food, love to see it.

Also it confirms that the house he was sleeping in during Secret Rings was either Tails or Amy's place.

I do enjoy the discourse both here and on twitter.

"So we have a game where Sonic was sucked into a magical copy of One Thousand and One Nights to fight a djinn with the power to rewrite reality. WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHO OWNS THE HOUSE HE WAS IN!"

...It was a worthy sacrifice. We shall remember him.

Tbh I don't think anything new has really come from this.

It's our most explict official confirmation that the Classic characters are back to being younger versions of the Modern ones and the "other universe" retcon from Forces/Mania has been junked.

If the different designs are going to be a canonical thing then this is the simplest way of doing it, how Classic physically becomes Modern between games really isn't a huge deal. The split-timeline theory fans created to explain that retcon was nifty but a needlessly complicated solution to a problem that didn't need to exist in the first place.

Stuff like Boom and the movies were always seperate from the games so the "multiverse" stuff is just a nod to that. We even get a "Not Boom" Sonic with the sports tape and a mention of blue arms when they're talking about it.

Uncle Chuck or canon Longclaw. Maybe both..?

So, if the multiverse thing is canon, I got a feeling it might be a part of their plan to unify the brand, and possibly explain some of the inconsistencies that may occur. It's kinda smart, but the execution is left to be seen.

Imagine if crossovers happen tho

Someone mentioned Sonic Boom. With that, I must say.

The Sonic and Knuckles in the main canon universe and the Boom universe seem to be opposites, in the sense that in the Boom universe, Sonic actually had a house while Knuckles was more of a nomad, while in the games, Knuckles has a home and Sonic is the nomad.

Strange, isn't it?

Anyone noticed the LEGO Ideas folder in the background?

I guess this kinda confirms the rumor that more LEGO Sonic sets are coming? Not that it's much of a surprise or that is meant to be taken seriously, but still an interesting detail.

Few things to note

1st. @Dejimon11remember that Classic Sonic status you made today? Well....

You get the best of both worlds here.

2nd. Image

This gloveless Sonic.

Lastly, Sarah Needlemouse is canon

They said he only (as in, that instance) appeared in Generations because of Eggman messing with the time stream, not that he only appeared that one time.

Ian Flynn confirmed already that Classic Sonic in Generations and Forces are the same past Sonic.
