ONM Asks... Sonic The Hedgehog 4

i have about 3 questions i would like to ask ...

1:Will there be a Sound test in the options so we can listen to the soundtrack like in Sonic 2

2:Will they be a old school animations like this in Sonic 4 SonicTailsSmallAni.gif116.jpg?app=bg&v=4b7ff92b

3:will the credit music will like the old sonic credit music like this

I'm sure the answer to 3 is yes. The title screen music sounds like SOnic 1/2 music.

Do we even know who is composing the music?

well it could be Jun Senoue since he a great composer and Sega has relyed on him to make amazing Sonic music in the past so i wont be surprised if he doing it

Why does Sonic CD just not exist to you? Are there any cues or even levels in future episodes which take more from Sonic CD than the 1-3&K trilogy?

It may be "obscure", but it saddens me that it is forgotten constantly by Sonic Team and Sega, like it never happened. :(

Except that doesn't have anything to do with Sonic 4's development.

My question: When you say Sonic's 2D roots, do you honestly mean this'll play like Sonic from the Genesis days, or will Sonic handle more like he did in Sonic Advance 2? If so, that's no good.

The fact that Amy and Metal Sonic survived to see modern times where characters like Fang did not sugguests that Sonic CD does exist to them ( additionally, Sonic Triple Trouble does not. ) What are you hoping for them to take from Sonic CD that wasn't done in the original trilogy? All I can think of is anime cutscenes, the super peel out, and ( not likely... ) the time travel.

Well I meant like if they are rehashing Sonic 1 and 2 zones, I'd like to see a Stardust Speedway style zone or something. Or you know, a really trippy level in that vein.

Or even just gimmicks like the mini-Sonic in Metallic Madness. Maybe they might do that in Mad Gear or whatever it's called.

Just some sort of reference :x

What are they taking from Sonic 3? So far I can only remember Sonic 1 and 2 things :-/

Supposedly Carnival Night Zone, tile by tile. And the Batbot from CNZ (Who's not as charming as BatBrain IMO ).

Also, the fact that it's not the full game.

I don't really like CD all too much, so I wouldn'T want too much from the game :-/ But I can understand others wanting stuff from it. I never got to try out the MS race..

Edit: Wasn't the Casino Park and not Carnival Night?

Oh and shouldn't the Q&A be up? It said on Friday... :-/

The first ONM Asks with the people behind the Ace Attorney series is now up, the Sonic 4 Q&A is yet to happen.

No idea when it will be put online, sometime in the next month I would assume.

I shall keep you posted.

The Zone is called Casino park, yeah, but supposedly it uses the same tileset as Carnival Night, and Im guessing a few of it's Badniks too.

Err.. I meant Casino Night Zone, lol. The level in Sonic 4 is Casion Street, but according to Endri and the picture we've seen it looks like Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2.

He said Casino Night Zone? I must have remembered things wrong... err, well we still have the batnik and an incomplete game ...But seriously we do need more S3&K stuff. I'd be happy if all we got were the scene transitions. ( And maybe Lock-on and competition mode )

As fore ONM, do they usually wait a month? Otherwise I assume they are really busy with recent developments... That and ONM doesn't have many questions to ask. Everyone's asking things that had already been asked. Compare the S4 questions to the massive NSMBW list they had.

2. How long has Sonic the Hedgehog 4 been in development? How has the approach for designing a downloadable game differed from the way you design mainstream Sonic titles?

What made you decide to include the Homing Attack, and does it have any impact on the classic- gameplay? - MK Skillz

TI: As you know, Homing Attack was an action featured from 'Sonic Adventure' and it didn't appear in the classic series. In Sonic 4 the Homing Attack is added, and this provides sense of speed that none of the classic series have.

It looks like they left out an "a" between "provides" and "sense". And the homing attack does provide a sense of speed the classics didn't have.

Ahh! Good to see this is finally up, and that I got a couple of questions answered!

I think those are ones passed on from you guys, so I hope the answers you've received are to your liking! :D
