Bad. It just needs to sell like shit if it's a bad game. They need to earn our support like they did back then. It's unfair if they just keep getting all our support if they arent even delivering quality. They will just keep on taking the easy way out....

If we get a demo before release, we could probably have a better opinion on whether this 'Sonic 4' sucks or not. Also, if something is considered shit or not up to the expectations listed... uh, why buy it? I don't think this will be shit, but damn I wish this wasn't associated with the genesis games by the marketing.

It just doesn't make sense considering that the game is still 5 months away from release and yet it's being submitted to Microsoft for approval.

I'll reserve final judgment for when I actually play it myself. I will be disappointed if the game is more like advance 2 instead of feeling like a classic title but I'll still enjoy it because I enjoyed the advance (and rush) series.

Though if the game really does come off feeling like an advance title then Sega really dug their own grave. All that classic talk hype they've been dishing out coupled with the fact they actually named it Sonic the Hedgehog 4 put expectations WAY too high. As much as I love the thought of finally getting Sonic 4 the expectations would have been far lower if they just called it Sonic "extreme subtitle here".

Also, I can live with advance physics but that jump sounds awful. FIX THE JUMPING SEGA....DIMPS....WHOEVER!

There are times when I just become so stressed out about this shit that I wish I was never a Sonic fan. This is one of them. Not because I'm nervous about the game's release, but if this is bad, the term "shitstorm" will cease to be adequate for the fan reaction. This isn't just any old Sonic game, this game is TRYING to be a successor to the original series and more nostalgia is on the line than ever. Speculation, blind optimism/pessimism and trolls are thrown around like currency in the game community before any major game release, and this is no exception. But fuck it, I'm just going to wait for the demo to see if the fallout's really worth it.

Endri's claim remains unchanged, and he is supposedly going to be uploading some kind of proof tomorrow. I could go either way at this point as to believing that he actually did play the game, he is supposedly involved in the industry, but he also had a strange idea of what triple buffering was.

Well, I'm convinced enough to believe the guy. With some salt on the side, of course, but I'm putting trust in you guys on this.

Regardless, Sonic Advance 2 wasn't that terrible to begin with, and from the gameplay leak we've seen, it looks like more of a toned-down version of the same game, which is definitely not a bad thing.

From what Endri's saying, it sounds like Sonic Advance 2 Sonic in a Sonic Advance 1 game.

...if that makes any sense.

Right, Endri screws up English on occasion and it's hard to understand him. Some guy at Retro took one of his typos and ran with it.
