Pretty basic combo theme for August. Just SUPER hyped for the release of NEO: TWEWY this Tuesday and pumped to finally dig into the meat of it after the awesome demo. Avatar is Nomura's first (at least public, I believe) sketch of Neku from the first game and newcomer Rindo together. Excited to finally return to the streets of Shibuya with a new story after all these years!

September becomes Sharktember with an Armaggon-themed combo, primarily based on his appearance in the SNES version of TMNT Tournament Fighters! Why? Well, Loot Crate and NECA are teaming up to release a beautiful figure of that particular version of him, which makes me VERY excited as someone who was first exposed to him through that game. To think that along with the Turtles in Time Slash that I already own, I'll be able to represent TWO of my personal favorite TMNT characters on my shelf with the video game versions that introduced me to them! Toys are incredible these days.

Avatar is courtesy of Armaggon's ending in Tournament Fighters, in which he uses the prize money won from the eponymous tournament to fuel his quest for world domination. (Because mutant Sharks from the future who enter fighting tournaments in the past to win prize money don't think small.)

The spooky season coincides with the return of the Keronian invasion to US shores for my October 2021 combo!

Celebrating both Halloween as well as the release of Discotek Media's first Sgt. Frog SDBD set at the end of the month, I've brought back the Frankenstein Kululu theme that I actually used here previously almost a decade ago in 2013. (Albeit, updated to reflect his appearance from the anime rather than the manga and with the addition of a "Curse of" prefix to my display name for that extra "horror remake" touch.)

Been a little while since I've repped Keroro, but with ALL 358 EPISODES of the anime finally licensed by a US company after the unfortunate fate of Funimation's releases, the Frog fan in me that went dormant from inactivity can at last wake up and get hyped!

Going pretty simple for my November combo. Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl are releasing, so I decided to rep my personal favorite Gen 4 Pokémon, Honchkrow.

Avatar is courtesy of the episode "Pursuing a Lofty Goal" from the DP arc of the anime, which was essentially the big showcase ep for Paul's Honchkrow as it clashed with Ash's Staravia in the Pokéringer competition. Too bad it had to fall to a dramatically convenient evolution, but it was worth it to see both Ash score a small victory over Paul and Staraptor's completely badass Close Combat animation.

Christmas combo time! In honor of the 30th Anniversary and all the neat stuff that's coming up for the Blue Blur in 2022 (in addition to all the Sonic-related gifts on my wishlist this year), I've decided to give the Sonic series the nod for this year's festive configuration. Based it fully on the December 2014 Sonic Channel wallpaper, because I love Shadow and his little buddy.

Getting 2022 off to a thieving start with a Persona 5-based combo, in honor of my recent platting of Royal and current playthrough of Strikers on the Switch. I can't get enough of this little Thief Family and I thank Smash Ultimate for introducing me.

My avatar is of Pernell P-Pal, one of the mascots for PBS' old children's programming block PTV Park (now PBS Kids.) PTV Park helped me learn some tactics that I still use in everyday life (like calming down when I'm angry, asking for help, etc.) Pernell was my favorite since he was intended to be Black like I am. For some reason, I consider him similar to Knuckles. Maybe because they've both got the cool 90s thing going on?

February swims into Shark-infested liquor with a Space Ghost Coast to Coast combo, specifically themed after the all-time classic episode, Kentucky Nightmare. In it, the show is bought by a liquor store with an inexplicable Shark mascot and things...well, escalate from there. It's easily one of the show's funniest episodes IMO, so I just had to give Old Kentucky Shark some avvie love eventually.

March teleports in to recover the MOTW's Sporix! Going with a Void Knight theme to celebrate Season 2 of Power Rangers Dino Fury hitting Netflix next month. VK's probably my favorite character from the show (because of his personality and capabilities, wicked suit, cool voice, and the air of mystery around him), so I'm excited to finally learn his whole story in Season 2!

My avatar is the Engineer from Team Fortress 2. I don't have a signature, but the quote under my avatar is one of Engi's lines when winning a game. The irony being that Engineer builds machines that shoot speedy boys.

I decided to make my avatar based of the idea I am one of thousands of sonic fans, and the fact that I am one of almost 8 billion that exist. So I am SonicFan3183 with the signature of "I exist and now you know that.

April approaches and so does Sonic Movie 2! Thus, I've decided to dedicate my monthly combo to said sequel, with specific focus given to Ol' Knucklehead's upcoming cinematic debut! I'm super jazzed to both see his clashes with Sonic as well as to learn all about this particular version of him in both the film and the upcoming series. (Here's hoping we can maybe get some "chaotic" guest stars in the latter. 🤞)

Didn't have anything in particular in mind for May, so decided to just go with repping a recent favorite show of mine: Amphibia. Hop Pop (or Hopediah Plantar as his friends call him) is my favorite character, so I went with a theme based on him. Avatar is courtesy of Hop Pop's story from the Halloween anthology episode, "The Shut-In!" (The instant I saw Young Hopediah making that absolute Chad face, I KNEW I had to have it as my avatar eventually.)

My icon is the Beanbean kingdom's emblem seen throughout Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga; one of my all-time favorite games! Under that is a line Knuckles says at the start of Sonic Heroes' Egg Fleet stage, which I always found kind of funny. My signature has a link to my Instagram page, and a quote from a Jim Carrey interview for the first Sonic movie that just sounded cool to me.

Usually rock something gaming-related for June for obvious reasons and my current most anticipated 2022 games are both TMNT-related, so I decided to combine the two thoughts with a Leatherhead theme based specifically on his appearance in Turtles in Time: Re-Shelled! The remake had its issues (mostly the replacement soundtrack) but I will always love the art style and character redesigns for it, Leatherhead being one of my favorites. It's like a perfect combo of his savage Mirage design and his more toyetic 1987 toon look.

Nothing special here. I wanted an avatar to reflect my change in display name since I was looking for a way to shake up my ages-old standard username.

Although I will say that I was originally wanting to use a cropped porn picture but figured that might not go over well if someone recognized it...

Didn't have anything specific in mind for July, so decided to say farewell to IDW's excellent Beast Wars series (that just put out its final issue this past Wednesday) by repping my favorite original character from the book, Skold. I INFINITELY cross my fingers that Hasbro will eventually put out a figure of her, as I adore her design, personality and story. Avatar is courtesy of her standalone tale from the Beast Wars Annual while my member title references her nature.

My actual avatar is Blaziken because he's my favorite Pokemon, I'm even planning to get my new kickboxing uniform in his colors.

My signature is my favorite scene of the Street Fighter movie, also because Ken is my favorite fighting game character, it's even one of the reasons that I started martial arts and even got into some fights when I was younger.

Decided to do my usual thing of picking a super me-centric combo for my birth month, so here's yet another one themed after Slash from TMNT. However, this time I'm repping the version of him from Archie's TMNT Adventures, my (and a lot of other people's) favorite classic version of the character. The choice is also kinda DOUBLY appropriate what with the Cowabunga Collection dropping at the end of next month.

Member title references Slash's origin while my display name is a nod to his very distinct way of introducing himself. The avatar is a bit unique, as it's not from TMNT Adventures itself, but rather a fan comic called Odyssey created for the 30th Anniversary of TMNT. In it, the aged Mirage Turtles go on a multiversal journey to stop a new threat called The Shogun. On their way, they cross paths and team up with characters from different versions such as Cudley the Cowlick, Slash, and even Venus de Milo. It's a really cool tale and Slash himself gets a much better send-off than he did in the Archie series proper. Much of it is even pencilled by Mirage vet Jim Lawson!

My avatar is Nazo. I use it because he's my favorite scrapped character. I could've chosen Sonic or Shadow, but I went with him due to.... well I have no good reason.

September comes in Poison Jabbing with a Croagunk theme! My little way of celebrating the upcoming premiere of Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles on Netflix, a new anime special advertising Legends Arceus as well as just serving as a giant fanservicey love letter to the Sinnoh arc of the anime. Brock's Croagunk, one of my favorite new characters introduced in said arc, makes a comeback in the special, hence the theme. Also threw an appropriate little TMNT nod into the display name both for fun and because Shredder's Revenge's physical release should ALSO be hitting in September.

My avatar is still the same character but now it is in a form called Hyper Nazo. He is using his most powerful move called the master breaker to destroy the entire planet.

What motivated him to destroy the planet? And will anybody save it?
