Oddly enough it's most femine grass starter to date. Well to me anyways. It's Treecko's wife! And ironicly geckos and anoles are almost the same thing. lol

Well with five Pokémon revealed and all of them sucking too hard for my tastes, my interest in the games has been subdued in the meantime until Sugimori picks up the damn pace (and all the better for it, since I'm not even going to be playing it until the inevitable third version is released). The trainers aren't bad though.

A lot of people think the Otter is going to evolve into some kind of polar bear otter thing. That would actually be kind've awesome, in any case I can't wait to see its evos.

I'm not really a fan of any female protags except Kris and Leaf, this new girl looks like a stripper.

I liked Lucas though, and this new guy, his hair is cool.

I give them mad props for still be able to come up with ideas for pokemon, but with each generation they get less apealing. I find the male trainer designs to be pretty cool, and the female trainer is okay. The only thing I really find appealing about her is her hairstyle. It's different.

I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair. But if I'm going to choose between these starters, Lizardlad would be the chose. IMO, he looks the best.

I think it's just bad memories of the Lyra backlash coming through.

I'm starting to like Mr. Otter a bit more the longer I look at him, and I definitely see potential for its evolutions. Polar bear was my first guess as well, actually; if that was pulled off properly it could be glorious.

Also, the screenshots look really nice, tiny as they are. I still want to see the battle system in motion, though.

I think the trainers look ok, if not a little generic (back to the same ol' hats). The starters are meh too, but who knows......they could evolve into BEASTS !!

I hope you take no offense to this, but I'm confused. Are you hoping for pokemon to be able to talk together, or being able to camp out in the game?

Being able to camp out would be awesome. Your tent wouldn't take up much space - 4 tiles maybe - and there could be a little day-night or night-day animation if you go in there to save/sleep and shut it off. The animation could involve a random selection of a couple of your six equipped Pokémon sitting on a rock/tree stump/etc nearby, making their noises and looking at the sunset/moon/sunrise.

I can't imagine it'd be a terribly hard thing for GameFreak to come up with compared to the other stuff that they've made.

I disliked them all, but now I know I'm going for the leaf starter, and Imma call him Leeron. You're a genius, good sir.

As for the trainer arts, I'm actually very surprised! I like both of them, I think they're the best looking trainers of all! --both of them, I don't just mean the female. XP This raises the question, are they going to nuke Dawn in the anime, and have "Ivory" here join up with the team? Or will they decide to keep Dawn because having an older kid traveling with the main team would be weird and Brock would die of too many epics? Yep, curious. Maybe Misty will come back, rofls.

But yeah, this is looking good! I feel bad for ever thinking that the trainers might look generic, based on their sprites, ahaha.

As for the Trainer Design and Starter.

Grass Starter is Pretty Neat Looking, Looks a bit too much like Trekko tho' (not that this is Bad)

Fire Starter is the One I am Probably Going with. It's Pretty Cute Looking and Hopefully Evolves into a Big, Flaming Warthog of Doom

Water Starter is My Least Favourite one so Far. It Simply looks..I dunno. Hopefully its Final Evo is cool

also it Looks kinda Like the Lovechild of Piplup and Mime Jr.

The Male Trainer Looks Kinda eh to me at This Point. Also He Reminds me Kinda of Ash......yeah.....I guess He'll grow on to Me Like Lucas Did

The Female Looks Nice. Thats all I have to say....Though I wonder How Many People have Claimed her as Their Waifu by Now.

That damn noooooose. I've warmed up to the snake and pig and really love them now. The only thing keeping me from feeling that way towards the otter is the NOSE. Fuck why would they do that? Still think it will be awesome when it evolves though.

White and Black both look great. DAT HAIR might make me choose the girl for once! It's just so amaaaazing and I love it. The region looks cool too, definitely unique.

I like the fire piggy. The grass thing is okay-ish, I guess, and the otter is sorta cute but definitely the weakest link. They'll both grow on me, though.

Trainer designs are nice, and I like that they're older. Maybe this means they'll face big kid issues like dating, hormones, peer pressure, etc.

My friend Erebus made a good point when I was explaining the grass starter Pokemon. He said with it being called a "grass snake" yet having legs, it could be a skink.

Call me crazy, but I'm glad the water one is the least likable this time. Seemed like a lot of people favored Mudkip and Piplup for the past two generations, so I'm glad the other two types are getting some more spotlight, =3.

I'm probably going to start with the grass one for sure though. I also just noticed that every generation they have 2 bipedal Pokemon and 1 quadruped.

Blastoise is quite popular where I'm at. So I heard. And Feraligatr is one of my personal favorites.

They've been making quite likeable grass starters lately. I've gotten attached to Torterra now and Sceptile is pretty cool. Now this new starter.

Fire starters are beginning to be ok with me. I think that most people cried when they saw Chimchar though. :/

I think that the protagonists and the Fire and Grass starters look great (the water doesn't look bad, just odd to me). I'm going to choose the starter whose typing and evolution I like best, and I'll have time to find those out, since this time I'm honing to hold out for the third version, rather than on the exact day of release, like with D/P.
