You can definately expect some more Game location names and some relocating appearing now, since New Mobotropolis was moved from the main land to Westside Island.

 

Also it appears that Game story stuff such as Sonic Colors are in the Comic canon as well.

 

 

Hmmm.....which means we're gonna need a new map of Sonic's World now, that Encyclopedia is kinda moot now. I could kinda see Ian using the Map from Shadow or Unleashed and expanding on them a little, or he'll just relocate some places on the Encyclopedia map

 

Or of course, he'll just draw up a new map of the word..

 

 

But however, we can already tell by Westside Island being New Mobotropolis location now, that Oil Ocean (Where Sandblast City is near), Casino Night (Mogul's turf), and Megalopolis may now be renamed Metropolis , are in close vincinity to the city now.

 

 

Hmmm... much interesting stuff to come.

The implications of the Genesis Wave really do offer a lot of opportunities to redraw the entire map of the world... I think pretty much anything will be better than the "Not-Earth" vibe Mobius had going prior. I'm really curious what resides in Efrika in particular, however... given that I can't remember them ever really exploring that continent.

Overall I'm interested to read the issue once I get it, given that it sounds like quite a bit has changed. I have high hopes Ian will create a continuity far superior to the one he was given years ago.

Recently, by which I mean about 2 years back, Mobius has been sorta-but-not-quite-Earth, so I'm fine to stick with that. Also, I'm hoping that the comic will primarily use the game canon from now on, as it would give SEGA an excuse to chuck people like Sally and Snively in the comics now and then (though I doubt they will) and, more importantly, it could enable the return of tie-ins.

Guys we can't use anything of the comic as past reference because we don't even know if it even exists anymore. who knows whats been changed or removed since the WilyEgg genesis wave caused this clusterfuck of a fused universe.

But I think Game tie-ins did happen already, remember were a fused universe now so whatever events that ATAP/Genesis universe did in terms of game events were fused into our old comic universe. We already know SA2, Heroes, Colors, and Generations happened in that universe and our comic universe didn't get a real chance to experience those events (the adventure arcs being an exception but even then I would like those misguided arcs gone from existence too if it meant having a real game-like arc in place of it).

So I can see with proper planning, game tie-ins happening again the universe has been set up properly to do so, Ian is doing a hell of a good job with Mega Man's focus of both game and comic arcs. Ian's plan of shorter comic arcs may be a part of having game tie-ins a standard again.

Pretty sure the ATAP stories are still non-canon to the main comic storyline. Recall that the last time Silver was seen was during the events of Prime's equivalent to Colours (DS), which couldn't be possible if Generations occurred.

Explain, because I sware a hint of Generations was menctioned when the crossover was occuring and Sonic was still stuck in his ATAP/Genesis mindset.

The crossover is set after Generations, yes. But that reality is separate from Genesis, which is separate from ATAP, which is separate from this new reality.

They're not allowed to say the terms of the settlement all we know is ken said that Archie is allowed to use his characters. This planned kickstarter proves that he wasn't telling the whole truth
