Personally I will miss Elias the most. I know I'm going to piss the someone by saying this, but he was everything Sally was suppose to be (minus Sonic's girlfriend. Sally is a perfect flower that sometimes gets scared that she's not a perfect flower until her friends give her a hug and assure her she is a perfect flower (Iron Dominium, Saving Station Square). Elias is smart and level headed but by no means perfect. He had real struggles with being a king (not stupid marriage problems) and ultimately he was more likable character.

Still, I kinda wish it was a "clean cut' and we got rid of all Preboot characters. Does anyone really needs Hood or Akluth? Ok, Conquering Storm is pretty popular, but ultimately she's background character.

New characters like Hood, Akhlut and Conquering Storm haven't even appeared yet, so I wouldn't judge them as "un-needed" when we know little about them apart from how they might look.

And while Elias and the entire Acorn lineage are gone, I'm positive there will be more allies and Freedom Fighters that will end up being just as relatable and fleshed out. Just because the pre-reboot had great characters, doesn't mean the new universe won't.

Mordred has, he was faffing about like a headless chicken when Eggman went by his base to get back to the Arctic. He was even on one of the #275 variants, which seems to strongly imply that he's the comedic buttmonkey of Eggman's Dozen.

Technically he is, but that Metal Sonic got rebuilt and redesigned in StH #86.

Hmm...I just looked at it now and technically you're right, but it does mention something called the "Power Emerald". That must've been what I was thinking of, and I presume that's what power gems are derived from. Still, they're not exactly the same, especially considering there are many power gems and only one Power Emerald, so nice catch, there.

Oh, and I just realized that they mention something called the "Powerstone" in the Japanese manual, so there's that too.

The closest we have to characters yet to be introduced that he brought in are Mina's back-up band, and that's because they're the ones from the Sonic 1 concepts

-So that means Munch, Alan, and Thorn may hopefully return as part of Avalon's heroes.

-Throwaway lines = Ownership. The power of logic...

-Anit-World and the other alternate universes are somewhat-overused concepts anyway. Let's just stick with Sonic's World and Sol Dimension/Zone as the majorly-inhabited zones and there being minor pocket zones with little inhabitance.

-If only they had access to the Nocturnus...

-Ian did say that Mina's band is still fair game, so they have a chance...

I'm going to assume Constant Vigil, Endless Reach, and Rich Nights are out -- especially Constant Vigil, given the whole SEGA-characters-having-a-family debacle.

I really think Thrash should be given a second chance in the new universe.

More like the power of covering your arse in case a writer tries to claim something off the back of said throwaway line. It's sad, but that's what they've been advised to do.

And yeah, seems like the rest of the brides are gone considering that Conquering Storm is no longer a bride of anything. The Bride of Rich Nights was heavily tied into the old Yagyu stuff while the Bride of Endless Reach was just another addition to Uma Arachnis and the Arachne. For the Bride of Constant Vigil, wouldn't be surprised if wasn't just the family mandate alone; maybe SEGA had an issue with Espio having a whole clan of chameleon ninjas connected to him given how he's presented in the games. Honestly, I thought Conquering Storm herself would be gone too, but at least in her case you can argue that Lightning was shoved into her group, not the other way around.

Solo? Vector? Manic & Sonia? New character? There are many options.

And I think calling Trevor a new Trash is overstatement, even by "quotation marks". Rotor is purple and puff, do we remove him? Body types sometimes will repeat.

Hmmm...possibly Vector or Honey due to how similar she is to Mina. Sonic Underground really isn't allowed because of those absurd mandates.

Well, look how similar he is to Knuckles. People ship Tails and Sonar on DeviantArt and Spike is pretty much "Orange Sonic" but not a hedgehog. I just want some originality here, not some burly dudes with the same color. The designs of the Shamar Freedom Fighters were pretty much based off the Sonic Boom designs of Team Sonic. Knuckles and Trevor could possibly become rivals sometime in the future, so you never know.

Holy crap, them being the head singers of the Sound Test band? That would be a neat way of incorporating Sonia and Manic the Hedgehogs into the comics without altering them too much from their appearance in the Sonic Underground cartoon. Though if they do reappear, they might be given different clothing or slightly different appearances, considering that there's kinda...a lot of hedgehogs already in the comics (at least before the reboot. XP)

I'm actually interested in seeing Max, Mach and Sharps coming back.

I think rather than a famous well loved band, I want to see them rewritten as a bunch of losers who are constantly looking for work but fail at every job since they're idiots so they're pretty much rejected by everyone so then they come with an idea of making a band. It sucks at first but they improve as time goes on.

Redesigns are definitely a must.

(Honestly, the only reason I even give some crap about those three is because I like Sharps design, name and generally the idea of a chicken Sonic character)

Well, we do have Scratch to (sort of) fill that void, but I get what you mean.  Having them back in that type of comedic vein would work pretty well, as far as I can see.  Make a joke of even failing to help the Chaotix, they're so useless at most things

Boo for you then, because the later concepts changed him from a chicken into a parakeet.

As for the other ideas...Sonia and Manic are an absolute no because they can't be used, Vector's iffy because SEGA are pretty particular on how he's presented (references to Chaotix events are being snuck behind SEGA's back, how would you sneak that in?), Sonic ironically might be more likely as you don't need to tiptoe around it as much.

Personally, I'd throw Madonna into consideration. She may be a GUN agent, but that doesn't mean she can't do stuff on the side (Rouge is the best example of that). If nothing else, there's always a place for them at the Casino.

Congrats! I still have to check my mail box to see if I got it yet...but I kinda doubt. I always noticed a pattern where anytime you would get your issue and post spoilers, mine would show up about 4 or 5 days after, so maybe that random pattern will happen to me and I'll get the issue soon... 

Seriously can't wait until things get back on track because not getting Sonic comics monthly is pretty weird and horrible.

Yep, pretty fitting looking if you ask me.

This is pretty my interpretation of the scrapped band members if they're were ever to appear in the post-reboot and how I wanted them to be rewritten.

I changed their shoe colors to avoid looking exactly like Sonic's and I gave Mach and Max more unique body designs to avoid them looking like Sonic clones. ( I also give a Mach a muzzle since he was strangely lacking one).

It'd be very interesting to see these 3 being revamped to the comics like this.

Obviously not gonna look like this but a guy can dream.
